This month brings us Tchia, an indie open world adventure that's releasing day one on PS Plus Extra. Members will have access to this charming new game as well as everything else listed above. If you're on PS Plus Premium, you'll also have access to the above trio of retro titles. Ape Academy 2 and Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror come with a set of Trophies each, which is always a nice bonus.
Our latest poll shows that pretty much all of you are pleased with this month's additions to the games catalogue and classics collection, and we don't blame you. It's a cracking selection. After a slightly disappointing start, it feels as though Sony is starting to hit its stride with these newer subscription tiers.

Really nice month once again! One small irritation; why does Sony mails you a receipt for every game you “purchase”? I just add them to my library, I don’t need a confirmation.
Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror is shown for free for me since I have the original version. For Ridge Racer Type 4 and Ridge Racer 2 it asks me to upgrade my membership, even though I have the original psn versions.
@belmont Those games are not available standalone, they're only accessible if you're subscribed to Premium (even if you have the older versions). It's a bummer.
Hopefully Bandai Namco turns this around.
@StrawberryWave According to howlongtobeat.com, the main story takes about 6 hours.
Anyone got access to dbz kakarot ps5 version?? Its only coming up with the ps4 version even tho theyve said both will come to plus
@Kyevo8814 Only PS4 version of Kakarot appears to be 'Included'. The PS5 version shows a price and no option to download.
@Quintumply PS5 version of Kakarot does not appears to be downloadable right now.
Sadly only the PS4 Version of Kakarot is included...not suprised tho with Sonys history of "cheaping" out for new PS+ additions
@Kyevo8814 same , also life is strange 2 only available as demo
@Quintumply Thanks for clearing this up. Yes, seems like Sony has no problem letting you buy its classic games while also offering them for free if you have the PS3/P/Vita versions while Namco does not for some reason.
Too bad no other publishers seem interested in PS1 classics. The only game from other publisher I recall is Resident Evil, that you can also buy separately from the subscription.
I wanted to try Immortals but wanted to wait for the inevitable PS+ month. Finally it's here but it's still going in the backlog for a bit.
A good month! Too bad I already own most of these.
I can't be the only one who's super excited to play Ape Academy lol
@vikramsingh Good catch. Seems it's just the PS4 version after all — I've amended that in the article
@belmont Yeah, hopefully other publishers jump onboard.
Omg it is actually just the ps4 version for kakarot!! Was so looking forward to playing it on ps5 disgusting uncharted it is
Time to play uncharted lost legacy at last.
Yeah, Kakarot being only PS4 is ridiculous. Oh well…it’s Sony.
Ghostwire Tokyo here I come 😎
KAKAROTTT!!!
Is it not possible to get the ps4 version and then upgrade it to ps5 with the free upgrade?
@StrawberryWave I think it's a short story, but with free exploration so you can just do anything at any time you want 😄 to me it seems like a great casual side game, that can be just visited for a little explore and fun from time to time
I got a ping on my ps app this morning saying Tchia is available now (I checked at midnight just incase too 😆) but I was able to get it downloading so I can come back and play it later without having to wait a short while. Oh yes 😁
Heads up, haven is only PS5 version, no PS4 version to download
@KaijuKaiser when is this update coming? I already purchased the game before and what will be added?
@StrawberryWave collecting everything will take a big chunk of your time no doubt
Darn I thought we were getting the PS5 version of Kakarot that is a bit disappointing
Crazy good month
Tchia, Ridge Racer Type 4 and Untitled Goose. Also very tempted by Immortals with it being the PS5 version. Already upgraded the two Uncharted remasters on release. How I'm going to fit all this on top my never ending backlog is a different story
Tchia without a doubt is what I'm excited for, but will be waiting a month or so for patches.
As a non subscriber, thought I'd check if I could download Type 4 as owned as the game as a PS1 classic on PS3 / PSP, but no. Seems strange as its very selective, I was able to download the PS1 Abe games and PS1 Resident Evil from owning them digitally on PS3, but not Ridge Racer. Shame, but I can still play it on PS3.
Is it just me or does the Ridge Racer game look terrible to anyone else? Really pixelated, text is blurry, and the opening cutscene has a lot of artifacts. I've not noticed this on any of the other ps1 games.
@Ambassador_Kong If I recall, Type 4 has a dithered look to its graphics, which was fine on a CRT, but doesn't look so great when scaled up and presented in HD.
PS1 RE has a weird glitch on PS4 where you can actually notice the 3D elements of the graphics upscale from a lower resolution for a few frames everytime you enter a new screen.
all 4 life is strange games are on PS+ extra now
life is strange
life is strange before the storm
life is strange 2
life is strange 2 true colours
