Now that the series has officially finished airing on HBO and its various partner broadcasters, it’s time to start thinking about watching The Last of Us again. We recently updated our Where to Watch The Last of Us TV Show with all the venues you can currently stream it, but you may be holding out hope for the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray – and fortunately it’s not too far away.

Available to pre-order now on Amazon with a planned launch of 17th July, the home release will include all nine episodes alongside “nearly three hours of special features including three all-new featurettes”. If you don’t want to plump up for the 4K UHD version, then standard Blu-ray and DVD options will be available as well.
Will you be revisiting the hit show in the highest quality possible? Kick back and experience the apocalypse as it was always intended in the comments section below.

Interestingly the cover for this is essentially the cover for the first game reversed, with Ellie looking at Joel's back.
Order placed. Thank you very much!
Just ordered the 4K version. Thanks for the heads up...
Anybody else clicking on Push Square but keep getting taken to a Last of Us fansite?
@ApostateMage Haha, wait until they announce The Last of Us 3...
Very nice.
Ordered it. Will happily binge it all at once over the summer.
@get2sammyb What's the best arcade tennis game?
Sooo..... This is basically TLoU (2023): Remastered?
Thanks for the heads up! Just finished Season 1, so won't be buying it on home video for years.
Looks like only 4K. No HDR remastering.
That's when I'll be watching it for the first time, I might as well watch it in the best quality available
@KidBoruto HBO Max has Dolby Vision and HDR10 on their streams.
What's surprising is that Crave has The Last of Us in 4K SDR, no HDR. But they also have The Raccoons in 1080p only and cropped to 16:9, despite being remastered in 4K for both 4:3 and 16:9. And Crave is missing the specials despite those being remastered in 4K as well.
I'm glad we're getting more physical 4K UHD TV series releases. Especially since HBO only released Euphoria on DVD (not even Blu-ray), even though the show would benefit a lot as it was shot on 35mm film and mastered in 4K.
Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul (which are distributed by Sony) don't have 4K UHD releases yet despite being mastered in 4K by Sony.
They actually announced that The Raccoons would be coming to Blu-ray, and I won't be surprised if it gets a 4K UHD before Euphoria and Breaking Bad do.
Hell, Embracer Group/Anime Ltd. released a '70s anime series Future Boy Conan in 4K UHD (though it is an early Hayao Miyazaki series, before Studio Ghibli) and a '90s anime series with Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water (by Hideaki Anno).
Strangely, GKIDS hasn't released these 4K UHDs in the US, but Anime Ltd. did in the UK, but GKIDS has already released some 4K UHDs.
We got Future Boy Conan in 4K and English before we got a 4K UHD release of Euphoria, one of HBO's biggest current series. FBC was pretty much banned in English-speaking countries because of Alexander Key's estate claiming that Miyazaki plagiarised his book The Incredible Tide for the show. But the legal issues have been settled and they can release the series in English for the first time, and with a 4K remaster too.
I've currently pre-ordered the steelbook. Not a fan of the art on it though but I like collecting them.
Each edition is £10 cheaper if you take advantage of the Amazon Photos £10 credit offer.
Cool! I'm quite the physical media advocate so got a copy myself of the 4K bluray (with HMV though rather than Amazon).
Btw has anyone else received an email from NOWTV they've been put in a PS5 prize draw for watching the whole series? xD
I have, and immediately assumed it was a phish, but then GamingBible reported it as legit, so a tad confused and still a bit sus as It's not been reported elsewhere.
Just reserved a 4K copy at HMV in person. Comes with exclusive HMV artwork. Would have done it on Amazon but I'm always put off by new releases on Amazon when the slipcases arrive badly dented. When buying new on a release day the slipcase if it has one should be immaculate
4K version it is then!
It isn't available for preorder in the US yet.
3 hours of bonus features? Could've done with that 3 hours for the main narrative.
Yep, loved this adaptation and will be buying.
People still buy these? The PlayStation 5 doesn’t even run blu-rays!
Ya can get the Blu Ray for £20 on Ebay.
@Boxmonkey what??? Of coarse it does!!
@Boxmonkey Mine does
@Hydra_Spectre I used to collect alot of movies in 4K, but lately I just don't have the money or physical space anymore.
@Boxmonkey I believe the tub o' lard can play 4K blu-rays, normal blu-rays and DVDs?
