Funnily enough, it wasn't that long ago we saw a co-op multiplayer game based on the tale of Robin Hood. Called Hood: Outlaws & Legends, it was a team-based competitive game about grabbing treasure before the other teams. This game, Gangs of Sherwood, is more of an action adventure that has you and up to three friends battling the Sheriff of Nottingham's forces.
Publisher Nacon has released the first gameplay footage, which shows off each of the four playable characters: Robin Hood, Little John, Friar Tuck, and Maid Marian. As you'd expect, each of them have their own weapons and skills that complement each other as you engage with enemies. There's a more fantastical edge to this portrayal of the legend, with the characters shooting beams between flashy combos and some larger-than-life bosses to fight.
Gangs of Sherwood is heading to PS5 this Fall.

That's... a videogame.
This looks awful
Well, it looks like it could be alright. I mean, atleast it's not a live service game like Hood atleast lol
No. If you want to make a Robin Hood game, set it in Sherwood, give me a bow and arrow. A dagger / short sword, whatever. Put it in VR with no aim assist. Oh, and an attractive Maid Marian ideally, and I’ll consider it. Story based of course.
@thefourfoldroot1 Hey game companies! Make your Robin Hood content and characters based solely on the sexual preferences of this pro gamer over here, please. He is our representative. Oh, and can you put it in VR so he can experience what it's like to stand near a woman? Thanks.

🙄
I don’t require everything to be to my own preference. If you prefer Friar Tuck feel free to let people know. No judgment here.
@thefourfoldroot1 Bravo on simultaneously missing my point AND reinforcing it!
@MFTWrecks
I didn’t miss it, it wasn’t a subtle or sophisticated insult, just didn’t think it was worth any more than I gave you.
@MFTWrecks nailed it
@thefourfoldroot1 Classic "I'm better than you, therefore I didn't engage by engaging with you anyway, peon" energy. My goodness. I can hear you chortling while adjusting your fedora from here.
@MFTWrecks You mean what the characters were like in the books and good movies?
@MFTWrecks
If you think you are going to engage me in a long argument just by jumping in and trolling me then I’m going to disappoint you, I simply don’t care enough about you or your opinion. Perhaps discuss the game in the article. Which yes, I think would only interest me in VR given how suited that is to archery games. If you don’t like that comment, or get offended when I mention Maid Marian, well, honestly, it doesn’t matter.
