Lies of P has always looked like an indie developer's take on Bloodborne, and 11 minutes of gameplay captured at GDC pretty much confirms that to be the case. From the look to the gameplay to the UI, everything screams the PS4 title out of FromSoftware. That's no bad thing, though, since copies Bloodborne copies aren't exactly at a premium. The game's due for a PS5 release in August, so whet your appetite in the meantime with the footage above.
A physical version of the game is on the way alongside the digital edition, with a concrete release date likely set to be announced in the coming months. As FromSoftware looks elsewhere — at least temporarily — with Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, Lies of P may be a Souls-Like highlight for 2023. That's unless Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree hits this year.

Well that article title gave me a headache.
Lies of P? More like Lies of B, cause it makes you think it's Bloodborne at first glance.
Jokes aside, it looks pretty neat-o.
Still don't understand how they're not getting sued to hell by From
I am going to play this eventually but-did the gameplay look really stiff to anyone else? I am usually way out of step with people when it comes to this stuff, so it is fine if the answer is no. But my first thought was that the movement here was not great.
Wait Lies of P is a game? I thought it was what people say when Phil Spencer speaks
More like lies of phi spencer🤔😀😄😃.lies of p always looks amazing.word up son
Looks good. Looking forward to giving it a go.
@playstation1995 someone needs to edit his face on 😭🤣
Bloodborne feat. Timothée Chalamet.
Looks pretty cool..i'm playing through steelrising at the mo and that has a bit of a bloodborne vibe to it as well..no bad thing as far as i'm concerned...
We are born from Phil's Lies.
Made men from Phil's Lies.
Undone by Phil's Lies.
Fear the Lies of Phil.
But seriously the game looks really good! Definitely got my eye on it.
I thought it was called Slice of Pie!
@Cherip-the-Ripper 😃.lies of p starring phil spencer.hes nose grows bigger than Pinocchio😃.word up son
Had my eye on this for a while and it looks like it'll fill a hole in my heart... at least until the Elden Ring DLC... or I finally pick up Steelrising!
@Northern_munkey I really like that game it's a pity it didn't get a ton more of polish.
The only in missing is the feedback on impact. The backstab should feel /look way better then this though. It looks fine but it's no Bloodborne I'm baffled Sony didn't start on Bloodborne 2 or remaster/remake of the first game.
I don't think I will ever get a game like Bloodborne where the blood will both stay on the character and environment.
This looks a bit boring, not gonna lie. Cookie-cutter Bloodborne ripoff. And the sound effects of hitting the enemies were wearing me out after 5 minutes.
Cautiously pessimistic!
I’m hoping this is going to be good. I got steel rising but it didn’t really do it for me. Combat felt pretty janky.
I’m yet to find a souls-clone that comes close to anything by From.
Only watched the first few minutes, but combat looks like it's lacking some 'oomph'.
And who the hell was playing this? Talk about amateur hour! 🤣
All I can think to say is...yikes.
Game looks great still, just a shame we're prob not getting the exact release date announced until May or June.
@Northern_munkey Enjoying Steelrising? Missed it on sale last time, was thinking of getting it. Maybe next sale.
@Elodin i am enjoying it a lot. It takes a bit of getting used to and the combat can seem a bit clunky at first but stick with it and it opens up. Graphics are not the greatest considering its not a cross gen title but they are not naff either. I'm glad i picked it up 👍
When I actually DO have Bloodborne at home I have no need for this 😅
