PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium operate a little differently to PS Plus Essential: games are rotated in and out of the catalogue, and once they’re removed, you’ll no longer be able to play them as part of your subscription – even if you’ve already downloaded and installed them. It’s important to be aware of which titles are scheduled to depart, then.
Fortunately, Sony has announced the next ten titles scheduled to be stripped of their PS Plus Extra status, although it’s yet to confirm when they’ll be removed. Consider this your last chance to play the following, then:
- 2Dark
- 428: Shibuya Scramble [EU]
- Croixleur Sigma
- Gabbuchi
- Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign
- Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4
- Steins;Gate Elite [EU]
- The Caligula Effect: Overdose
- The Wonderful 101 Remastered
- Zanki Zero: Last Beginning [EU]
While it’s always disappointing to see games removed from PS Plus Extra, this does follow a pretty outstanding update for the service, which saw the likes of Ghostwire Tokyo, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection added. We’d definitely recommend you take a look at 428: Shibuya Scramble and The Wonderful 101 Remastered if you haven’t already – and remember, The Caligula Effect: Overdose is getting a native PS5 port later this year.

I've noticed that the last chance to play section with PS Plus has been removed? Why did they remove it?
Zanki Zero: Last Beginning kinda sad to lose this one. I know it's not great so don't really want to spend money on it, but always wanted to play it
@saffeqwe I thought Zanki Zero was quite good, and even if you don't like the survival mechanics you can turn it down so it becomes less of a problem. Also keep on eye out for playstation store sales as it goes for quite cheap a few times a year.

Darn it. Only partially through steins gate. Was one of those I thought I could always go back to if I fancied just watching something and chilling. Hopefully it returns. If not I guess there is always YouTube.

Definitely decided to not renew. Just don’t have enough time for all these games. Maybe if they gave us a definite 6 month warning so we could get organised and not miss anything…
Now i’m mainly occupied on VR2 it’s even more likely I’ll miss stuff. Unless they start adding games for that it just isn’t worth it for me. I really can’t imagine it would cost much to leave games like this on the service!

I'll be playing Zanki Zero before it's gone. Ideally I'd fit in Caligula Effect as well, but I doubt I'll have the time.
Would recommend Steins;Gate Elite to anyone who cares about a good story, by far one of my favorite visual novels ever. Shibuya Scramble is pretty good as well, not on the same level but still.

Except for The Wonderful 101, I don't even know anything else 😯 I guess not a huge loss on my end then.

@Snake_V5 If you go to Collections on the PS Plus section and scroll down a bit, it's definitely there for me. (At least, it was this morning!)
Kinda glad I never went for Extra or Premium now. If I want to play something, chances are it'll be going cheap on Amazon. Then it's mine to keep. Never even renewed my basic subscription when it was on offer last. It's a shame really because PSNow had such a good thing going.
I've had a wonderful time with Gabbuchi and will be sorry to see it go. Fun, lighthearted gem that one.

@BeerIsAwesome I think as it approaches the one year mark we'll begin to see more rotation. I'm kind of surprised to see any games rotating out with the service not yet 12 months old but these maybe grandfathered PS Now contracts.

I think it's really stupid that they moved the list. Before it used to be on the PlayStation Plus homepage, you just had to scroll almost all the way down. Now you have to go where you listed, almost as if they're trying to bury it down there. Does Sony not want people to know when games are being removed from the service?

Oh Immortals Fenyx Rising was just added? I tried to play it last night but it said you need to sign in with a Ubisoft account. The hell I do; uninstalled. That sort of thing is only ever OK if the game is free. I was just barely willing to play a Ubisoft game at all, but if they don't even want me to then that's fine by me.
@ATaco I mean it kinda makes some sense that they wouldn't want to advertise games leaving the service.
People that claim to play outgoing free PsPlus games often and obsessively, yet didn’t bother to ever buy them. 🙄
Aww, I was interested in playing Steins;Gate Elite. I don’t want to start it if it’s going to get removed halfway through my playthrough.

People, make absolutely sure to play THE WONDERFUL 101. It's totally worth your time and worthy of playing to completion
Have physical version of Shibuya Scramble. Main story, bonus story and the bonus story you get after the true ending are really great. The other bonus stories are of varying quality. Some are fun, others are a chore.
The Wonderful 101 is goood stuff
I definitely recommend 428: Shibuya Scramble for anyone that likes Visual Novels, its second only to Steins;Gate for me.

@NinjaNicky I personally disagree re: quality of games. But then again, I have a lot of PS Plus games from before the tiered relaunch. The 10% off of purchasing Game Pass games to keep is a nice strategy I'd like to see Sony employ.
Thankfully I already own Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 and The Wonderful 101. Zero interest in the other games.

Nothing wrong with the offer. There's plenty of new content coming out every month. That you might have plenty of time to play it all out. And that it may not be your taste is personal. If I were you I'd buy an Xbox. Don't bother with ps plus anymore.
