Still targeting a 6th October release date, Sword Art Online: Last Recollection has a new trailer that features a quick look at its action-based combat system. Much like previous games, you'll fight enemies as a team, combining sword skills to unleash big combos. It also looks like Last Recollection will emphasise character switching — or at least combination attacks.
The trailer provides an outline of the game's story as well, which seems to be about defying a rather grim fate. "Armed with the power of the gods, Kirito and his allies return to fight against the forces of the Dark Territory in a brand-new story that reimagines the events of the War of the Underworld," reads the official description.

Looks interesting, never play these games which to start with or best game..And do you need an ps sub to play them..??..Thanks in advance..
@TheLotteryMan1
Its hard to say which is the best, especially since theres 6 games. Story of the games all follow each other in some way, and also has its own universe of events, where same events as anime can occur, but has different characters/resolution to it that follows. I would say the Lycoris is the best one, as it features the anime cast more, and doesnt seem to recall older games, plus has the improvements that older ones may lack.
But based on the pv for this new game, it will be a culmination of the game's universe. The two odd ones in gameplay are lost song and fatal bullet. One has fly controls, the other is a 3rd person shooter with a grapple for movement. Fatal bullet also has small character story summaries with the characters that appeared in the past games, so you'd have a bit of background.
And no, you shouldnt need ps plus to play. It does have online co op, but good luck finding any players, especially on the older games.
Sorry i cant be more helpful. The games are each quite big, and does assume the player has been following along. If you like sao, youd be missing some events/interactions that are found in games you may skip.
@Tashunu Thank you so much for your time..In explaining etc..
Thanks for sharing an update on this game!
