We'll be honest, we sort of forgot Trackmania is coming to consoles. The latest iteration of Nadeo's ultra-fast arcade racing series is a free-to-play live service title, and it's coming to PS5 and PS4 in "Early 2023". It looks like the developer is preparing for launch soon, as it's just announced a public online test for the console editions.
As seen in the below Twitter post, you can now register to take part in the test, which begins in a couple of weeks:
You can join in on any console; you just need to follow this link, specify your platform, and then log into your Ubisoft Connect account. The test begins on 13th March and runs until 29th March, so we'll get a good two weeks or so with the game.
As for what will be included, we don't know just yet. Hopefully we'll get to sample some developer-made stages and community creations too, but we'll have to wait and see on that front.
Will you be taking part in the Trackmania technical test? Strap into the comments section below.

Absolutely love Trackmania. Can’t wait!
Loved Trackmania Turbo - but does this new one support split screen multiplayer?
Not sure about taking part in the test but I'll 100% be downloading it when it releases properly.
I absolutely loved the original. I bought a physical copy and for some reason lost it or sold it (honestly can't remember).
I was delighted to see it on PS plus extra so I have recently been playing it again.
Fortunately the cloud seems to remember that I've played it before so it's great trying to shave vital milliseconds off my original times
@Member_the_game By Original you meant Turbo? That is only Trackmania game on Playstation. But that definately is not original in Trackmania series.
cant wait to play this, might check out the test.
I loved the original, loved United Forever
and I really enjoy Turbo
so cant wait.
@REALAIS
Yes trackmania turbo is what I meant. I didn't realise that was a sequel to something else sorry
@Member_the_game No problem. Trackmania will celebrate 20 years this year. Turbo was more fun version of game. But it is cool to get Trackmania 2 on consoles.
I just don't understand why the newest Trackmania looks graphically far less impressive than some of the older titles.
Obviously the gameplay is what matters, but I still just don't get it.
I loved playing Trackmania Turbo, so I'm looking forward to this one.
@sketchturner To which game do you compare? New Trackmania is Stadium, do you want to say that United Forever looks better? Really?
@REALAIS Yes, I do think United Forever looks marginally better, but more so, the various versions of Trackmania 2, plus Turbo. Something about TM2020 looks really generic, like some run of the mill iPad game.
The series has never been about jaw dropping graphics, but it still has maintained a pretty nice visual flair until 2020.
