Scathing first-person cultural commentary The Last Worker is primed and ready for dispatch, ahead of its scheduled delivery on 30th March. The title – coming to PS5 with full, optional PSVR2 support – promises a narrative adventure centred upon “humanity’s struggle in an increasingly automated world”.
The press release explains: “Created from the ground up to deliver both VR and flat-packed experiences, the game combines a hand-crafted art style created in collaboration with [Judge Dredd] comics legend Mick McMahon and unique, immersive gameplay mechanics, seamlessly interwoven into a narrative game like no other.”
Writer and director Jörg Tittel added: “Just as the pandemic has made us all dependent on home deliveries, it took us a whole pandemic to deliver this game. We've often felt like [protagonist] Kurt: overworked, lonely, and tired, with [robot companion] Skew reminding us that there will be fun and light at the end of this fulfilment centre. I hope you all make The Last Worker your next instant purchase.”
While you’ll be able to purchase the game from the PS Store, a physical version will also be made available, featuring a reversible sleeve, some stickers, and a double-sided poster. You can check out a new trailer embedded above for a better idea of what to expect come launch.

I was interested in this one from the time they first announced it at....was it E3 2019? Was it the PSVR showcase before PS5 launched? I don't even remember. Seems like ages ago. But it always struck me as interesting, and just got reminded of it again seeing it added to the PSVR2 store page. Was wondering how long I'd have to wait for it, this is day 1 for me! And I never do day 1!
I actually got a chance to meet the devs for this game at another event recently. They're super passionate and really know what they're doing when it comes to VR. Shame I can't afford a headset!
Glad this isn't strictly on VR.
This seems interesting
