Over the last few weeks, we've seen some Diablo fans wondering how having multiple characters will work in Diablo 4. Because there's no story-skipping Adventure Mode (as there is in Diablo 3), does every character you make have to slog through the game's main story? We were asking this same question prior to our recent discussion with Blizzard developers.
During a presentation on Diablo 4's endgame structure, we were told that once you complete the campaign, you can skip straight past it with any additional characters that you decide to run. In doing so, you'll be able to jump directly into the open world with all of the endgame content in place. We're not quite sure how that's going to work in terms of level scaling and difficulty settings, but it's nice to know that you won't have to replay the campaign every time you want to try a new class.
We actually learned quite a lot from Blizzard with regards to endgame activities in Diablo 4, and you can read our thoughts in the following preview:
Are you glad to hear that Diablo 4's campaign can be skipped once the credits have rolled? Start planning your second character in the comments section below.

No offline play. No solo adventurer against the tides of evil. No sale.
Yeah. Good news. But also want to know how season restart will work. But I'm ready for the game release.
@RadioHedgeFund you can play solo, please stop spreading false info. But you're correct about no offline. I would like that to become an option, but I don't it ever will.
@Cutmastavictory If I can play solo than why the f+++ there are other trespassers in my game??? I don't want them even in my town!
@djlard i would imagine in the final build you will see other players in the town but not in your game unless you have teamed up with them like in path of exile. Who knows but i'll find out when i purchase it.
@RadioHedgeFund I am sure you will just steal the game. Like you claim to do.
@Northern_munkey @djlard It's like an MMO like World of Warcraft, you can do everything solo but you will see other players in the world. Solo play doesn't mean you won't see other players.
@Tasuki so long as they are not intrusive i really dont care.
@RadioHedgeFund I have never pirated a game I could buy new that recompenses the original creators, physical or download.
I will continue to download abandonware ROMs of older titles that are no longer on sale for current devices where the only person who loses out is a collector on eBay charging a sky high resell price.
£130 for Vandal Hearts? Er, no.
@ShogunRok I guess this means each character doesn't have a different unique campaign?
@KidBoruto Nah, it's the same overall story regardless of your character class. The only stuff that changes is some side quests, which pertain to your specific class.
