As we mentioned over the weekend, full game trials aren’t better than outright being able to play a title in its entirety, but there’s a growing selection of them available with PS Plus Premium – and right on time, Sony’s added two more. Alongside today’s enormous update, the manufacturer has added a three hour trial for MLB The Show 23 and a two hour trial for Disney Speedstorm.
While the former feels a little like insult to injury when the entire first-party game is available on a rival subscription service at no extra cost, the latter launched in Early Access earlier today and is only available with a Founder’s Pack right now. Being able to test out two hours of gameplay will at least give you a taste of whether you want to splash out on the licensed arcade racer.
As always, you can find a full list of All PS Plus Games in our guide – and yes, we’re keeping tabs on the full game trials in there as well. Will you be downloading either of these? Let us know in the comments section below.

I suspect one of the reasons it isn’t on plus is because MS paid for subscription timed exclusivity. Plus there is no need as people buy it full price every year in certain countries.
They need more games, where the heck is hogwarts legacy.
@Randinator123 As a trial you mean?
Played Disney Speedstorm for 2 hours last night on the free trial but it was over too soon. The physics are great, controls are good, upgrades are addictive and the competition is balanced, I didn't want to like it and I know it's a huge Mario kart ripoff but my kids are getting it for my birthday present today.
Will definitely try Disney Speedstorm as my kids will enjoy that one.
I'm not interested to play any sport-games like baseball, basketball, football, golf etc. even for free, Disney racer seems good, I will give a try but my to-do (or to play???) my list is so long I have no Idea when Currently I try to play trough all the expiring soon games (the better ones only).
I do not consider game trials a premium feature at all and detest this marketing from Sony. Game trials should be freely available to anyone with a PlayStation.
Premium users got shafted on this one.
Needing a premium subscription to get a demo of a 1st party game (or any game) is kind of a joke.
@MattBoothDev Same. I don't even use it. This shouldn't be touted as some kind of feature. There were trials in previous gens. Crazy how The Show is a first party game, yet Playstation is the one that has a trial for it.
@Rafie yep and the PlayStation 1 games are barely there. I expected hundreds. I think we've hardly got as many as the PlayStation classic
Two hour trials are not enough time for a game like Disney Speedstorm.
So.. when does speedstorm go free to play forever on PlayStation.
It's clearly geared up for microtransactions..
