The unsung hero of PS Plus Premium, perhaps understandably, are its full game trials. Sure, we’d all prefer to have the full game available as part of our subscription, but these meaty demos can give you a good idea of what to expect from a title – and can be crucial in convincing you to part with your hard-earned cash. There are a lot of them to try as well, ranging both major releases to lesser known indie titles. In fact, you can find the full list in our All PS Plus Games guide.
Another title was quietly added towards the back-end of last week: DE-EXIT Eternal Matters. You only get an hour to try this out so it’s a little on the stingier side, but the game does look cool: it’s a beautifully animated, voxel-based platformer with some surprisingly impressive animations. It’s billing itself as a cinematic adventure with a “pinch of stealth”, and considering this one is completely flying under the radar, it might be worth giving a spin. It only released last week as well.
As mentioned above, you can find a full list of PS Plus Premium Full Game Trials in our guide, so make sure you take a moment to check that out. Have you played any of these expanded demos? Take us for a test drive in the comments section below.

Trying to pass demos as a premium benefit has to be one of Sony's most stupid ideas
@DualWielding for sure. If a person could try out ANY game on PSN for an hour or two, now that'd be a nice feature. But the trials available so far have been measly.
Dont they trigger trophies as well? One reason for me to stay away.
Locking trials behind premium is a face palm effort. "ah man, i really want to try that demo out. Better sub to the most expensive tier 🤦♂️" Demo's should be available for base, non plus subscribers to try. Would entice a whole lot more sales overall.
Unsung feature? Unsung because no one is singing the praises of this Premium tier feature. You act as if Sony didn't sell this trial feature as a major point of Premium, a feature where every game over $34 MSRP would have a 2+ hours trial no later the 3 months after release. Today there are barely a handful or two of trials and that list of games hasn't changed much since the revamp service went live 10 months ago. But here you are writing an article celebrating another one "sneaking in" as if this "unsung" feature is working as Sony sold it. Sony doesn't even put much effort into putting their own games on the trial list. Horizon Forbidden West is one of the rare appearances for Sony own games itself, Ragnarök is another How about the 100's of other games that have been released since June of last year when PS+ revamped went live?
As for Sony (the one creating this service feature and requirements) I would expect if Sony isn't going to put all their games in PS Extra, they should at least put forward the effort to provide a trial to their first-party released in the last 3 to 4 years for those not in Extra. And for new first-party games have trials ready day one of release and not trials 3 months later. And don't even get me started about the weak sauce of how Sony is slow walking the PSone and PS2 games.
Edit: I think paying for trials is wrong on its face but if Sony is going to make a feature (one you are paying for) then Sony needs to better curate how this feature is currently working. And so far, the trial feature has been working pretty poorly compared to how it was originally sold.
I’m definitely downgrading when renewal time comes. I haven’t got time to get involved in much gaming these days despair my desire to play more.
@Ashkorsair
Is this true? Do trophies pop even with the trials?
@ATaco i believe they do yes
I was about to comment on the stinginess of PS Premium's demos, but then I remembered I used to be happy to pay a fiver for a Playstation magazine, just so I could play a one-level demo of Test Drive 5.
Yeah, this “unsung” benefit of PS Premium is ridiculous. This same 1-hour trial is available on Xbox without a subscription. Sony should be ashamed of locking stuff like this behind a sub.
Urgh, I hate these. The timer starts when you hit "download", so good luck if you pre-download hoping to play later for an hour. Nope, it's already expired.
@Kidfunkadelic83 That's a no-brainer if ever there was one. Having universal access to demos is surely not something that should even be locked behind any sort of paywall even the base PS +
@Liverbirdsarego exactly 🤷♂️ its beyond understandable imo.
@DualWielding Demos should be in the lowest tier. Premium should be so much more, its so expensive.
not be able to delete a demo from my game list must be the most stupid thing. i dont want my demos where my bought games are. and i know i can hide games. but its so bad.
@Kidfunkadelic83 if everyone chould try out games for free. people would buy more games.
@Beyondclem extra must be the best tier. premium feels worse than ps plus essential. be able to stream every game and ps3 games does NOT feel good. streaming ps3 games should be in extra. and download and playing native ps1 ps2 ps3 ps4 should be the premuim tier.
