THQ Nordic will reveal its hand on 11th August, as we begin to settle into a summer of showcases. The publisher is promising “world premiere announcements” as well as updates on previously revealed titles, like Alone in the Dark, Outcast 2: A New Beginning, and Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy. The show will begin at 12PM PDT / 8PM BST, but we’ve included a handy time zone guide below:
- North America: 12pm PDT / 1pm MDT / 2pm CDT / 3pm EDT
- UK/Ire: 8pm BST
- Europe: 9pm CEST / 10pm EEST
- Asia/Oceania: 4am (Sat) JST / 3am (Sat) AWST / 5am (Sat) AEST
You can check out a trailer above which is light on details, but does include around 70 seconds of montage footage. Obviously, this is a little under four months away, so it’s difficult to get too excited right now. We anticipate we’ll be learning a lot more about what to expect in the weeks leading up to the broadcast, though.

I hope there will be some old Nickelodeon games return on modern consoles.
I would like to see Rocket Power, Danny Phantom, Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, Bubble Guppies, etc on PS5, not just only Spongebob games.
I sort of wish this wasn't announced so in advance as August feels ages away. Still, should be good. They own so many great IPs now. Fingers crossed for Timesplitters.
GOTHIC
(Release date was supposed to be August 10th 👀)
About time (and then some) for that new TimeSplitters they supposedly have had in the works to finally make an appearance.
A new darksiders !!
They published Shenmue 3, but I doubt we'll see a Shenmue 4 announcement.
@Uromastryx YES!!! Give us a proper Strife game and not that crap Darksiders Genesis game they brought out a couple years ago. And then do a final game where you get to play as all 4 of them at once where you can switch between all 4 characters at any given time seamlessly and have tag team super moves and traversal moves to get you to new locations.
@AK4tywill I agree. There is absolutely no need for a game showcase to be announced this early. Especially for a third-party developer.
If this were Sony, Nintendo, or Microsoft it would be different. People would schedule their lives around big announcements from them.
With any other publisher though, I’m definitely forgetting about that between now and when it happens. I know they’ll reannounce it when it gets closer to the date, but that should be the time when they first announce it.
Please let a new darksiders be announced
I always enjoy Nordics showcases. They always have cool surprises like reviving one of the old franchises they have bought.
Crossing fingers for Darksiders 4. Also be cool if they announce a remaster/hi-res port of some dusty old game they somehow own the rights to.
@Anti-Matter Hell yeah! That’s what I’m talking about.
Whoa, this is way ahead of time.
@Uromastryx It's what I think of but don't hold my breath. I feel like they made a game for each character (sure Strife and War in Genesis) then ended it. I liked Genesis. It felt like a Darksiders 1 but isometric action RPG style (there is too many isometric games these days but it's Darksiders feel of gameplay and design was the only reason I bought it I don't usually care for isometric games unless it's strategy/city builder not RPGs).
I would like a proper Strife game (Darksiders 3 being a souls/metroidvania threw me off but then again that studio kept making souls style games so great......, 1 & 2 being a hack n slash and RPG didn't throw me off at all I liked that and Genesis was fun enough and it had Darksiders vets that were behind it I think so that's something no idea what they are doing now) though then just well a prequel with him and War which is fine and I assume the events in the timeline with or without his guns as War/Death used them to make Strife actually playable would be nice if possible. So him without his guns or with them would be kind of cool in story and gameplay ways to tie things in.
Atlas Fallen gives me the closest to a Darksiders 2 vibe but otherwise that's about it I barely see anything really close to Darksiders these days with mostly the veteran hack n slashes to jump to or too many souls games take up space with very few games wanting a hack n slash/beat em up combat system or good exploration. Hence I've picked up whatever I can like Dante's Inferno or Brutal Legend recently to fill in gaps of action games not being a thing these days then they were gens before with mixed to really good execution.
THQ Nordic make some good stuff I just don't care for much of it as I think I do. I enjoy Darksiders but that's mostly it I think. I forget they even had Trine to publish, that and Outcast was alright hopefully it's fine for a sequel that wasn't the original based on an older PC game I think it was but still glad it was revived somewhat.
They have tons of interesting games by different teams and big or small budget games I just barely remember them.
I see them from time to time in the news or in bargain bins games they published. Like Rad Rodgers (bargain bin) or Trek to Yomi (news), Elex 2 (news), among other particular ones I forget.
The B grade games of old get revived by THQ Nordic which is great and what I more so care for.
Their new stuff is fine I just don't gravitate towards them really.
But I always see them somewhere. Maybe they have something interesting but while I enjoy seeing what they do, I don't buy them for some reason. Probably because their digital or a particular price point physical and when I do see them it's much later. I also don't know much about most of their games like I do other IPs one offs or smaller series from publishers.
That old THQ splash screen is probably my most cherished gaming memory.
That 1st time playing Red Faction was a true highlight, THQ left some aewsome gaming memories
@SuntannedDuck2 @PepperMintRex @dark_knightmare2 @NarutosBiggestFan @Uromastryx All I desire to see is another SpongeBob or Destroy All Humans! game.
Though I suppose more Darksiders could be dope, or a Tak and the Power of JuJu Trilogy remaster collection.
