Forspoken is still too expensive.
@LifeGirl It has already seen some big discounts at retailers. Bought my copy for 22€.
See I want to buy Little Nightmares 2 but I worry that as soon as I do it will pop up on PS+ Extra. As good value as the service is it really has put me off buying games
Forspoken still too much.
Why would you put 2 games you rated 6/10 and one 5/10 on that list? At least give us a list of games you rated highly.
Service announcement, in case someone doesn't know: There is a sale on any shopping site, literally always.
I love this site but £55.99 (Dead Space) as an example isn't imho something to celebrate. Did anyone buy (that masterpiece) at that price when not in a sale? And Forspoken, £45; every commentary on the game has suggested its overpriced at £20.
You PS are the experts, thats why its your job and not mine, but surely the news story here is that publishers are trying to sell games by advertising as sales prices, when in fact they remain overpriced in some cases. I'd be more interested to see the media take a stance against that practice.
Still love the site, please dont ban me for having an opinion
@Rhaoulos Because they're significant games that released only a handful of months ago. People may still be interested in buying them.
Just wanna remind you guys that not just USA and UK people come here.
Death‘s Door is now 10 bucks/quids/whatever, sounds fair to me.
Forspoken, Rollerdrome, Signalis, and Plague Tale are all definitely wonderful games. Everyone, keep in mind, this is the Digital Deluxe Forspoken, which retails at $90 with DLC and other extras. While it’s trendy to trash on the game, many people have really enjoyed the title. Rollerdrome in particular is a fantastic deal though.
£4 off Dead Space, thank you Lord EA for this offering
Ends 24th May. Thank you Sony for confirming Days of Play/Showcase Week starting the 25th May 🎉
Decent price on Sable. Anybody know if it has acceptable performance now, on PS5? I remember playing it on Xbox when I still had Game Pass and it ran terribly
At some point I’ll buy Forspoken but not for $50. Wish they just had the game itself on sale.
Forspoken at £44.99, could be worse it could be Redfall at £70 😬
Seriously though, I thought Forspoken was pretty decent 7/10 but even id say its not worth £45, I'd recommend getting it physically for £30 or less, or wait for its inevitable PlayStation Plus inclusion.
Dang it! There are so many new interesting games. Too many new interesting games?! Guys I am deep in Witcher 3 now and Tears of the Kingdom just shipped. What am I supposed to do!?
I want Oxenfree, Dorgodone, Dead Space, Plague Tale 2, Signalis, Tchia, Chained Echoes, Cassette Beasts, Teenage Exocolonist, Dredge, etc…
I can’t bring myself to buy games that just I can’t play for months until I get to them. I need time travel. Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!
@koffing look up games “how long to beat” and make urself a schedule or something
me personally i’m just too lazy to play so many games & always get sucked back into multiplayers
@Toilet_Goat - Sable is just as bad on PS5 as it is on Series X, plenty of stuttering and abysmal framerate drops. Avoid.
Sorry PS Store sale, my PS5 console will be gathering dust for a while and getting a good rest. I'm currently travelling in Japan and a certain game comes out this Friday on a certain console. So when I return home I'll be playing that for the next few weeks/months.
@Shigurui Ah, that's too bad. The atmosphere was exquisite, but the technical side of things made it unpleasant
@koffing I feel you, I'm always rotating in and out of games due to my massive backlog and the amount for new games coming out. You have to make tough decisions, I'd say in your case you could either play the witcher 3 for 100 hours or more, or in that same time frame complete all or the other games you just mentioned. So in 100 hours it's either complete 1 long game or complete 10 smaller games.
@Shigurui I picked up Sable when it released on PS5 and I really wanted to enjoy it. But the frame rate gets worse and worse the longer you play it. Patiently waiting for that patch if it ever releases.
@koffing It depends on what all you’re doing in TW3, I recently replayed it and just focused on story, was around 23 hours. When I first played it and did everything but Gwent I was around 55-60 hours.
@tatarimokke I did look at Amazon this morning for comparison and Forspoken is $43. GameStop has it used for $40, so not really saving much at all for physical compared to this.
My wishlist notifications this morning had the Gigabash Godzilla dlc for $7.99 from $9.99. And that was it, the game is still $35. Which is weird b/c it’s coming to Switch for $25. Dlc is still $10 though.
Best thing on this list for me was Tales of Arise for $20, and that’s only b/c I still haven’t opened my disc yet which I bought for $20, so it isn’t any cheaper yet. I better play it before it’s $10 Black Friday.
I’ve had my eye on Evil West for a while now but I’m thinking $42 is still too expensive. I may just stick with something in the PS+ Extra catalog like Mortal Shell or The Surge 2.
Very excited (and actually got some time off next week!) for Tears of the Kingdom, but I've snapped up Rollerdrome too from here, be nice to have something arcadey to break it up.
Nice, I was enjoying V Rally 4's gameplay on Switch despite the very compromised graphics after picking it up on sale, and the PS4 version is now £2.49!
@Welsh_Will My plan exactly
@Toilet_Goat still pretty shoddy sadly mate
56 dollars for Dead Space doesn’t really equate to a sale price in my head (though I know it is) since I’m still adjusting to this brave new 70 dollar world
@koffing Dude, finish W3 before entering another huge game like ToK. And keep an eye on your list and on psprices to track discounts. Byt the time you're done with both of the 1st games you mentioned, you'll have better chances of acquiring ones from the wish list. Good gaming!
@FatalBubbles I recently bought Balan Wonderworld for $12. I think I'll give Forspoken the same courtesy when it hits that low...
@Ooccoo_Jr last game I bought was MW2 knowing it wouldn’t be on PS+ for years. Everything else I can hold out for.
@NEStalgia I played the demo for Balan, truly one of the worst things I have ever played. Lol.
Unless I’m remembering wrong, it had 3 or 4 buttons that all jumped….
@FatalBubbles You remember absolutely right, lol.
@Shokwave2 - I contacted the devs about the performance and was told no update was in the works. That was about a year ago so I wouldn't hold your breath.
@Toilet_Goat - Yeah the atmosphere is incredible, I stuck with it and got all the achievements on XSX and it was a love/hate experience, superb world but a real shame it's such a technical mess.
@Shigurui disappointing. It has the potential to be a fun game IMO. Thanks for the update 👍
@Shokwave2 ? Which game do you refer to?
@Palleon I'm referring to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom releasing tomorrow.
@Shokwave2 Thank you!
Only $56 for Dead Space?!
does anyone know if there are any plans for Red Dead Redemption 2 to get a PS5 upgrade anyime soon... currently on sale digitally, tempted to buy...
