The shockingly named Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai now has a release date. It launches worldwide for PS5 and PS4 on the 28th September, and it's nice to see Square Enix committing to releasing new Dragon Quest titles on the same day all over the globe. We're sure Dragon Quest XII and Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake will be doing the same (eventually).
In case you're unfamiliar, Infinity Strash is an action RPG based on the Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai manga, which was first published all the way back in 1989. It's got a heavy focus on combat, with locations essentially acting as battle arenas. Multiple playable party members should add some welcome variety to encounters, though.

They also anounced Dragon Quest Monsters, which is sadly not coming to Playstation system. I'm seing a lot of hype for that one, sadly I won't be able to play it on PS4/5.
I had forgotten about this tragically titled game. I wanna say it looks rather good but I see switch at the end 🫠 it’s not going to be much of a spectacle, is it? Looking forward to new info about XII and III
That name makes me chuckle every time I see it!
@KaijuKaiser Given the subject matter, you'd think it'd be an action adventure game but it looks more like an arena fighter in that trailer. Something like One Piece Burning Blood.
Looks fun and always enjoy Akira Toriyama's art style. I hope it'll include more than just arena style battles though.
@Feena if you think it looks good, then it looks good. Why should it matter if it comes for the switch?
I'll wait for DQXIII. I like my Dragon Quests with more traditional JRPG combat.
@ApostateMage Im not sure you will see traditional JRPG combat with the next numbered DQ. It sounds like they are changing things up for it
Meh, doesn't even cover half of the story, no thanks.
The anime was very good and this game seems really fun. I am looking forward to this one.
I’ll wait for reviews on this one. It’s hard to say, “Yes, I’ll have time to pick up and play through a DQ title right before AC Mirage and Alan Wake 2,” but I could be convinced to fail spectacularly at the ambition.
It looks like Dragon Ball. I love it.
Awesome, been waiting for more info on this one. I always welcome more Dragon Quest!
One of the most Squeenix names out there. Dire.
Looks good to me! I am down!
@tameshiyaku I know, I know, you are right. Finger crossed 🤞🏻 usually these look like very nice switch ports that run well on ps5 rather than ps5 titles (like Rise). The trailer looks cool so you are not wrong.
@naruball Same creator. Akira Toriyama
@Rafie He was the original Dragon Quest character designer/artist… Not creator.
More DQ is always welcome.
Now.. Can they please announce a western version of DQ Offline?!
I read this so wrong...
I literally thought the title was infinite is trash lol.
Nice! Another DQ game.
Nice! I would love X next.
@Sil_Am We even don't know if DQMonsters will be released outside Japan, but I'm sure if they decide to release it in Europe an d NA there will be a PS4/5 version.
@Sil_Am Dragon Quest Monsters 1 was on Playstation 1 so there's still a strong chance it will be on PS4/PS5.
@Rafie that makes so much sense. Thanks!
Gonna buy this day one ! Amazing anime of my childhood !
Looks pretty cool. Why not just use the name from the source material?
No interest in this game after learning it's just an adaptation of the 2020 anime series.
I was thinking it was gonna be a brand new original story, not a rehash that's playable.
If I ever do play the game, it'll either be on sale for $15 New, or free with PS Plus.
@KaijuKaiser no Action RPG like those naruto games
