Assassin's Creed Mirage finally got its gameplay reveal at the PlayStation Showcase, and as promised, it definitely looks like a more traditional Assassin's Creed title. While we're sure that certain elements from the open world RPG trilogy won't be completely left behind, it's clear that this is a more focused instalment in Ubisoft's monster franchise.
It's also got a release date: the 12th October on both PS5 and PS4. Are you looking forward to playing as Basim in this old school Assassin's Creed adventure? Sharpen your hidden blade in the comments section below.

It's quite beautiful visually!! Can't wait to play it after Valhalla!!!
Happy about it being actual AC game, the rpgs were interesting at first, but I really lonly oved Origins. The odyssey and valhalla were much weaker and way longer and it just made it a massive time dump. Origins was the sweet spot for it. But I am happy to see it going back to roots.
Definitely my highlight looking forward to October!
Finally, an actual AC game.
I really would like to love Mirage... I really want to... But not now. Not until release when it will be clear it is not generic RPG but true stealth assassin action as pre-Origins.
Assassins in an Assassin's Creed game? Get outta here. Not super excited for the setting or lead character, but it'll be great to get back to the more traditional play style.
Depressingly one of the highlights.
I’ve really missed old Assassins Creed. I was burnt out on the new style AC after Valhalla (the only entry I haven’t bothered with the dlc). I hope Mirage captures the magic of the old AC games.
I love to see return to form.. but I have to take me an Assassin’s Break after finishing Valhalla (155 hrs) 2 months ago 😩
I can feel the lack of budget, atleast from the trailer
This is the first time AC has caught my attention since III
@ShogunRok Do I need to play Assassin's Creed: Valhalla first to truly appreciate Mirage? Or can I go into this game blindly?
I'd actually play this AC. Tried the past games and hated them. This looks OG.
@KidRyan You'll probably be okay. AC does usually have some kind of narrative continuation between games but the core adventure is always standalone. At worst you could just look up the continued story elements online.
It looks like they reused 95 percent of the assets from Origins. Like it could have been DLC.
@ShogunRok Thanks! As much as I'd love to play Valhalla, I'm still at the very beginning of AC3 haha.
Very much looking forward to this however it’s like 5 days before Alan wake so good thing it’s slightly cheaper then most big releases this year. Definitely looking forward to this one tho.
Looks really nice. I'm much more interested in AC Red but that's a ways off.
I love the original AC games, but can't say I'm too.excited to go back if only because I burned myself out by the time Unity came out. Origins was a much needed change, and while I enjoyed Odyssey and Valhalla, they went overboard in the massive open-world and too much to do style.
I'd rather have a combination of the two.
On a side note, THIS is what I expect of the Prince of Persia remake in terms of quality. Not that horrid mess originally showcased. Though I would prefer a slightly more stylized take as opposed to realism since PoP has that magical and fantastical setting.
