The Dragon Ball franchise has enjoyed so much success over its near 40-year history, and the scary thing is that it's showing no real signs of slowing down. Case in point: two of its most recent video game adaptations have been huge hits for publisher Bandai Namco.
The company has just revealed that both Dragon Ball FighterZ and Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2 have topped 10 million copies sold. That's the kind of number we associate with blockbuster, 'AAA' releases — so it's super impressive no matter how you slice it.
For additional context, FighterZ launched back in 2018, and XenoVerse 2 arrived two years earlier, in 2016. FighterZ is getting a native PS5 version at some point, and XenoVerse 2 is still getting updated with new missions and characters, if you can believe it.
What do you make of Dragon Ball's seemingly eternal popularity? Go even further beyond in the comments section below.

Fighter Z was a great 3v3 team battler.
Now just re-make Budokai tenkaichi 3 and that'll easily be another 10 mil.
@J2theEzzo uhm why?
Budokai tenjaichi 5 is coming out.
@rachetmarvel you mean budokai tenkaichi 4. Hopefully we get 5 in another 10 years.
Why not, fighterz and kakarot were fantastic games.
I hope they can move away from z and make an kakarot style game based on the og Dragonball.
@tameshiyaku Man... I would sell my first-born son for any game based of the OG Dragon Ball.
That's nothing. Their mobile games, mainly Dokkan Battle is regularly pulling in big profits. It's often achieving top grossing in many countries.
@rachetmarvel I actually just forgot, but thanks for reminding me!
And in other news water is wet haha. Dragon Ball franchise will always be a big cash cow, no one should be surprised at all.
