It was one of the most popular pre-PlayStation Showcase predictions: the anticipated demo for Final Fantasy XVI would drop just after the Sony's event. Sadly, it hasn't happened, so you'll just have to make do with yet another trailer for the upcoming action RPG (which is now just under a month away from release, it should be noted).
To be fair, it's another great trailer, full of epic scenes and immense action. We're really loving the more 'mature' direction here, and the voice acting continues to sound superb.

I told yall the demo is gonna drop during the June 11 livestream event 😑
Man,FF7 remake looks visually better than this. Are they using a different engines?
@3Above seems about right. back in March it was reported the demo would be out 2 weeks before release. So 11th roughly June fits in there.
You don’t want people play the demo a month earlier, then forget all the controls, then carry over their demo progress, and have them somehow relearn it with a steeper curve.
@3Above They wouldn't listen!
Clive! Clive! CLIVE!! CLIIIIVE!!!!
Legs up to her arse.
Edit - this is probably the first Final Fantasy game I'm excited for since XII. Looks like an absolute cracker.
@rachetmarvel they are.
FF7 remake uses UE4, FFXIV uses an older in-house engine (I think an evolution of the FF14 engine).
@rachetmarvel 16 is using some kind of modified FF14 engine, whereas Remake uses Unreal Engine. I don't necessarily think Remake looks better than this, though. Remake is straight up ugly as sin at times, although when it's trying to be cinematic, it does look fantastic.
@ShogunRok @rachetmarvel have to agree with both of you as I think generally FFXVI is a very fine looking game but nothing crazy(at least from all the…many…trailers) and Remake can be ugly but has insane character and especially face models.
Hearing the main theme always gets to me :'). This game is gonna be truly special
I hoped at the very least a demo announcement for a later date but I guess I can wait a little longer for june 11
@Judal27 the music is so good, hoping they release a soundtrack
@ShogunRok Remake looks okay but that usually has to do with the fact that the level design is really boring most of the time.
I'm very excited for FFXVI but feel like they didn't need to show another trailer here. We've already seen so much from it, would have preferred Rebirth but I guess that will be after XVI releases
@Nepp67 Yeah, that was probably my biggest gripe with Remake. I get that Midgar isn't necessarily a pretty place but some of the environments looked terrible. And the NPCs!
@theMEGAniggle iirc they are, they showed it off alongside the new artwork for the eikons. Unless you meant like releasing it on Spotify lol
I'm ready for this one as well let's go
@tatsumi June 11 is only 11 days from the June 22 release date though!
So it's technically 1 week and 4 days, not 2 weeks. Just saying lol.
@Judal27 oh that's great then, I didn't see that
I will never get over that they actually include the name Creative Busines Unit 3 in the marketing now.
