Following on from two closed beta tests and a fully-fledged demo, Capcom has confirmed it'll be hosting another Street Fighter 6 beta phase. Over the weekend of the 19th to 21st May 2023, you'll get to play most of the modes the full game ships with on PS5 as eight members of the character roster. Those are Luke, Jamie, Chun-Li, Juri, Kimberly, Guile, Ryu, and Ken. Check out the trailer above for more.
Given the fighting title is less than a month away from its PS5, PS4 launch, we imagine this open beta will be running on near-final code. Crossplay will be active, so you'll be able to compete against fighters on other systems. It's essentially all the same content as you've already played before in past testing phases, so this is really just if you have the itch to get your fight on some more ahead of the big release on 2nd June 2023.

The big difference here is that it's OPEN finally. Many folks never got the chance to get in on the closed betas so this makes sense. Count me in!
Or, you know, since it's an open beta, an opportunity for people to play it who have not previously got into the closed betas.
Good to see. Nice to be able to lab some characters.
It feels like, with all the play footage out there already, the game released a while ago.
Sucks that it's not on PS4 again. I would really love to play some matches online
I believe another beta is necessary. The demo dulled my anticipation for the title. World Tour sort of seemed a little… eh… Maybe one more beta can draw me back in for the arcade mode.
Beta’s are smart. Like that more company’s are doing them if it means ironing out some issues before launch.
would like to have the PS5 be able to use my Hori fightpad , but it can only be used on PS4 games please Sony
I played the 2nd closed beta, I really liked it. After the recent demo I’m definitely sold on the game. But I’ll still mess around with the open beta since it will be here.
@Fighting_Game_Loser get a ps5 then ? the clocks ticking , not much time left of holding 9th gen back
Weird article. Imagine not understanding why Capcom may want an open beta to stress test the game after having only closed betas.
The open beta is here to stress test the servers, especially for cross play.
Nobody wants the servers to be as bad as launch day dbfz and strive(even though this got an open beta).
Makes complete sense, balance and server load are so important to a fighting games longevity it makes sense to want to run many betas. From what I played of the last one it is so much nicer to play(although I will get it on Xbox as I prefer their d-pad for fighting games).
I'll be out of town that weekend so it makes sense they're doing it
I might be able to hop in for a minute on Sunday, I guess.
PushSquare isn't "complaining" about a company making sure their game is well balanced and technically sound, right?
Kudos to Capcom for taking this seriously and making sure the launch is not a debacle like so many current releases.
@nomither6 Buddy I don't have infinite money. Obviously I'm not gonna stay on PS4 forever, but the PS4 is still getting lots of games rn, and there's not many true next gen exclusives that make me want to really get a PS5, so I can wait
Fighting games particularly rely on being bug free and certainly need to be well balanced, so the Betas make sense.
We really need all this betas to have a good online experience at launch (it won’t happen). Let’s say to have a good online experience near launch.
Catch me playing JURI all weekend on this beta
so excited to download this to either wait a 99 hour queue or the server crash and i end up not playing like every other open beta close to launch
@Green-Bandit remember when companies PAID real gamers to test their games months before it was released and the game released ready and all modes with everything worked out.. In essense they are getting FREE testers cloaked in "play this beta its soo exciting!"
we all are getting used and played, and the game will be buggy at launch and have to be patched several times!! LOL!
a "free labor market " is soo enjoyable.....
@MakersMark i agree and was thinking that. That’s why i said it’s smart, smart for them and we eat it up as early access. Yeah I remember that. Good point.
