Respawn Entertainment has today deployed a new Star Wars Jedi: Survivor patch that aims to improve performance on PS5. It's available to download now, with the update weighing in at 1.081GB, updating the game to version 1.0000.005.
While the previous update was all about bug fixing, today's very much targets performance. The patch notes highlight "various performance fixes" as well as "stability improvements" across the board. More glitch fixes accompany the performance improvements, but making the game run better is what this new update intends to do. The developer says even more patches are on their way as it works to improve "your overall experience with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor".

nice beta you're selling EA.
No mention of the screen tearing towards the top of the screen. I thought that this would have been fixed by now. I have limited time to play and was hoping that they would have it ironed out before I get close to the end game.
@j2c
I'm in the second location currently and I don't see it anymore.
I had a handful of issues over the 33 hours it took to get the platinum including one crash. While they were annoying, the game is still fantastic and well worth playing.
@FatalBubbles Was the platinum as annoying as they first game's? The databank was the worst.
Literally waiting for everything to be fixed and on sale now for this game.
I just can't justify in this day and email buying a game full price in the state it was released. Its just unacceptable. We have 2 amazingly spec's consoles and they still can't get it right. At least in the ps1 and ps2 era, games had to be stable and playable on release. Its now become fully fledged 70 priced games are now early access games.
Such a unacceptable view to just get the game out.
Development Team: Hey Team Manager we should keep track of these fixes so that next time we are making a game we can squash these bugs before they become an issue.
Team Manager: Great idea let's keep a development journal so we know exactly what can happen with these large games with lots of systems happening over each other.
Development Team: Here it is boss all the post-launch fixes that we should look for before we release a game. It should help provide our customers with a better out-of-the-box gaming experience.
Team Manager: Great I will pass it along to everyone who needs to see it (proceeds to throw it in the trash)...**** it wE wIlL do it liVe!!!!
@CRASH64 I did not go for the platinum in the first game. You have to collect all of one collectible which was painful because I struggled to find them on the map as it’s still not the greatest. That was by far the worst trophy, otherwise I don’t think it was that bad. For reference, it’s light years easier than aC Valhalla was.
@FatalBubbles Damn! Just platted it last night, took me 46 hours.
Kind of wish I had waited for this performance patch, it did not run well at all. Still, loved the game, guess my own impatience is to blame here.
Nice, I saw the PC update also this morning. I'll check it out tonight.
Already near the end. Fun SW ride just like the first.
So glad I waited on this one. 3 - 4 months from now it’ll probably play like a dream
@grubsteak Full disclosure, I turned downed the difficulty after beating the story. Had I not, I’m sure that some of the bounties and legendary bosses would have taken me longer. Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing when they even have to fix the game giving pre order and deluxe content.
So in another two months it’ll be mostly fixed and will probably be on sale physically for about 40 bucks.
That’s when I’ll buy back in.
And this is why I'm waiting until June or July before I start playing my copy.
@KidRyan yeah ill be checkin this out when im done with Zelda & FF16
@CRASH64 Sounds like a plan! Not much releasing after FF16 at the moment.
