We really like the look of Synapse, a PSVR2 shooter from developer nDreams. It just received a new gameplay trailer, showcasing the game's impressive visuals; the mixture of monochrome and vivid bursts of colour looks great.
The gameplay looks like an interesting mix of regular shooting and telekinetic powers, as you fling things around and duck behind cover. If it can wrap it all up with a neat story, this could be a sleeper hit for PSVR2, but obviously the jury's still out on that front.
Most importantly, we have a release date — the game launches on 4th July 2023, so it's not too far away. Are you excited for Synapse? Tell us in the comments section below.

@Exerion76 you saw the same gameplay we all did, what about that was on rails
I definitely liked the look of this. It seemed liked it was maybe based on repeating the same level until you find an optimal route that lets you finish it in time? That was my impression anyway (and I think I like the idea).
@theMEGAniggle @Exerion76 I think that more "Do it your way" VR games like Boneworks are needed.
To be fair though, this game could be fun, but I can't see myself getting this if it's like 2 hours long. I want more story based VR titles, but also longer VR games, or even VR games that don't take themselves seriously, which is why Boneworks and Bonelab are my top VR games and why I'm eyeing Vertigo 2 on SteamVR.
I will say, I hope the PSVR2 means more story-based VR games unlike the bite sized ones we've been getting because of the Oculus Quest.
I’d be really interested in this… if it wasn’t VR. This… would definitely make me nauseous in VR.
@HotGoomba I get what you mean but it's good to have some variety right. The zombie game they showed certainly gives off that "do it your way" vibe.
Looking forward to playing this
