Don't worry, PSVR2 fans — Beat Saber is here to save the day. It was announced a while back that Beat Games' wildly successful VR rhythm title was in development for PSVR2, and rather than keep everyone waiting, the game is out right now.
The best part is that, if you already own Beat Saber for PSVR, you can upgrade to the PSVR2 version for free. The same applies to all DLC packs, as well. The updated version of the game will feature improved performance on the newer hardware, and of course the tracking will be infinitely better with the PSVR2 Sense Controllers.
Also released today is the Queen music pack, available for $13.99. It features several of the band's biggest hits:
- Another One Bites the Dust
- Bohemian Rhapsody
- Crazy Little Thing Called Love
- Don’t Stop Me Now
- I Want It All
- Killer Queen
- One Vision
- Somebody to Love
- Stone Cold Crazy
- We Are The Champions
- We Will Rock You
So, good news all around, then. Will you be picking up Beat Saber for PSVR2? Swing those arms in the comments section below.

OK, given the very poor showing, this being free and available now is the best news from the show. I’ll download it tomorrow. As a big Queen fan this is also a very appealing pack, but overpriced.
Ironically though, this is one game where the VR2 tracking system may actually be inferior. Swinging widely to the side I imagine will cause issues.
Except it's not. Can't find it in the store yet.
Or maybe it's just the store bugging because it should at least find the PS4 version...
@Voltan No, you're right, it's not showing up.
@Voltan Yes, no luck on the Czech store as well. Will have to wait a bit more!
@SilenceCZ @BeardtasticYogi Now it's showing up but can only be wishlisted despite saying it released in 2018, lol
I guess I'll just get it tomorrow when they sort it out
@Voltan Try refreshing. It finally popped up for me.
I squealed when I saw the shadow drop. I've never played VR before PSVR2. Squeeeeeee!
Just bought it seen as I am scrapping the barrel to find games that are supposed to actually be good on vr...future not looking that great either
I know it's probably not the best song for this type of game, but where's who wants to live forever, you f***s!
I want to play it just for the Queen songs. Never played Beat Sabre before.
@Intr1n5ic also Radio Gaga and Living on My Own (not Queen but still…).
@BeardtasticYogi @Voltan
It’s UP guys!
Wow, I cannot believe it is a free upgrade. I was hoping it would be, but really expected at least an upgrade fee.
As a thank you to Meta for not keeping this game Quest exclusive, I will buy the Queen DLC
@StylesT
I second Red Matter 2. Jaw dropping game.
@Wowzer Just bought it....pretty poor marketing or I am living under a rock ..never even heard of the game but looks good and reviews from other devices are great
@StylesT I recommend Boneworks and Bonelab if you have an Oculus Quest or PCVR. Vertigo 2 is also great from what I've heard.
Sucks how little marketing Vertigo is getting, but it is an indie title stuck on Steam.
If I ever get a PSVR2, I'll definitely be trying this game out.
Positivley surprised that this is a free upgrade. Guess Meta has enough cash though, so fair play. Together with an Astro's Rescue Mission 2 announcement PSVR2 would have been soaring!
what are the graphics settings of the PSVR 2 version ? 4k ? 120 hz ?
Unfortunately the new patch messed up the tracking on all platforms I’m told. So I’ll be waiting to play it.
@ItsBritneyB_tch
While I don't usually care about PC vs console, Beat Saber is one of those games that is absolutely transformed on PC with the custom songs mod. Unlimited song options made by the community for free can't be topped so I recommend going that route if you can.
@thefourfoldroot1 yeah it's pretty bad. Wife and I are fairly seasoned Beat Saberers but we were barely getting through songs with all the missed cuts. It's like the angle of the sabers is off in relation to the hilts. Hotfix is on its way next week though, I believe, so hopefully that fixes things.
