The long-anticipated day draws ever nearer as the release of Baldur's Gate 3, master-crafted by the wizards over at Larian Studios, looms on the horizon, launching on 31st August on PS5. We got a new trailer at Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest, showcasing iconic antagonist Jason Isaacs in his role as Lord Enver Gortash.
Perhaps best known for his role as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter series of films, Isaacs is an instantly recognizable presence that brings an impressive gravitas. He played bombastic, scenery-chewing General Zhukov in The Death of Stalin and, in his most criminally underrated role, embodied pure malevolence in The Patriot as the sadistic Colonel Tavington.
Baldur's Gate 3 has been in Early Access on Steam for years, with only part of the epic turn-based CRPG playable so far. It's shaping up to be something truly special and worthy of bearing the legendary name of some of the most groundbreaking roleplaying games ever made. Will you be gathering your party and setting forth on PS5?

This is my most anticipated game of the year. I'm a big fan of isometric rpgs and the Baldur's Gate D&D setting. It brings me back to my pen and paper days. Can't wait.
hello Jason Isaacs
Who was the guy in the sting at the end? I didn't understand why that bit was dramatic
A very fitting successor to the late David Warner and his unforgettable villain in BG2.
@ThomasHL I think it's J.K. Simmons' character
@gigiard ah that makes sense, thanks!
Cannot wait. Game worthy of some time off.
I played a tiny bit of the early access on my friend's PC a couple years ago and I decided to save the rest for the full release, I am so excited for this. Larian RPGs are always something special
That's got to be one of the most confusingly worded titles for an article I've seen in a while lol. Thankfully I'd already seen the video so I knew what you meant.
@AdamNovice I came here to post that. If you know you know. Mrs has it on a mug. Lol
@Stocksy Yep I know very well where it comes from
So, now they do a trailer to show us the actor? lame
Trailer was fun, but don't see myself ever playing the game.
