Korea's video game ratings board strikes again. As discovered by Gematsu, the establishment now has a listing for a game called LEGO 2K Goooal! which, as the name implies, is almost certainly a LEGO-fied version of football. Or soccer, if you're across the pond.
The title is visible on this page, so it seems legit to us. These ratings are usually followed pretty quickly by official announcements, so we would expect 2K Games to reveal the game fairly soon.
This also tallies with reports that the publisher is making multiple LEGO sports titles. One of these is LEGO 2K Drive, which launched earlier this year, and another was a supposed football/soccer game. We don't know much more than that right now, but it does appear that it's happening.
If LEGO 2K Goooal! is anything like LEGO 2K Drive, it should be pretty good. We can easily imagine a lighthearted, arcadey take on the sport that players of all ages will enjoy. Obviously we still need to see it, but again, official confirmation shouldn't be too far off at this point.

What a tragic name if true. I reckon the game could be fun though.
Expect more microtransaction-ridden trash then.
Lego 2K Golf in the vein of Everybody's Golf on the PSP please.
For kinda excited, then saw image of soccer....ho hum...
What is going on over there at the Korean ratings board?! š
Iād try it. eFootball is somehow still rubbish with zero content after like 2 years and FIFA is playable but with its many foibles. Would be nice if it played like the old PES games. Iām gonna go out on a limb and say itāll be closer to those weird other football games from the 00s though like This is Football and stuff!
I was excited for LEGO 2K Drive until the reports of the aggressive monetisation surfaced. I'd be down for LEGO 2K Goooal! as well, but there's no way it doesn't suffer from the same issue.
Also, rename LEGO 2K Drive to LEGO 2K Driiive!, you cowards.
@Th3solution I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure anything being "leaked" through ratings boards is basically because as soon as the game (or whatever) is rated, that information is just/needs to be public knowledge. Again, I might be wrong and it might differ from country to country.
@Markatron84 Oh, ok, that makes sense. The way it ends up being termed as āleakedā makes it sound sneaky or underhanded. I was just wondering with all the repeated āleaksā from Korea how they donāt track down the mole that keeps letting the information out. But if itās just a difference in protocol and public access in Korea, that makes sense why it keeps happening
@nessisonett I'm hoping 2K are taking the mechanics seriously in a way that they're testing the water for a potential EA Football/new FIFA/eFootball competitor.
@TJ81 Thereās already going to be a bit of a crowded market with those 3 plus that UFL which seems a bit sketchy but Celtic are involved so Iām curious. Still annoyed about their deal with EA meaning Celtic Park was removed from eFootball but then they didnāt add it into FIFA 23 and itāll probably only be added for that new EA one.
Lego Ted Lasso
I'd only be interested if there was a story mode.
