Sony is slowly but surely peeling back the curtain on Marvel's Spider-Man 2, its big, flagship game for the latter half of 2023. We now have a release date, we've seen some gameplay, and have had details on the various editions you can pre-order. Soon, though, the title track from the game's OST will make itself known.
Developer Insomniac Games has confirmed the sequel's music will be shown off during The Game Awards' upcoming 10-year anniversary concert:
The event takes place at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles this weekend, on 25th June. As mentioned in the above tweet, tickets are still available if you're in the area. As well as debuting music from Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the one-off concert will feature live music from all manner of gaming series, such as Diablo, God of War, Hades, The Last of Us, and more.
We're sure the Spidey 2 music will emerge online in some form. If the original game's soundtrack is anything to go by, it should be a suitably heroic piece. This just reminds me that we had to endure that Nickelback Hero song instead of this:

But man there’s a lot of things about this event that I don’t like. League of Legends is essentially getting 2 performances with both it and Arcane, it’s essentially acting as advertisement for Starfield, FF16, and now Spider-Man 2, a lot of important gaming franchises with impactful music weren’t included, and a lot of the performances are celebrating non gaming IPs, and they’re even doing their constant celebrity worship with Jack Black performing. This event could be really cool, but Geoff just refuses to celebrate gaming for some reason.
