If you like your console racers to be a little less realistic and a lot over-the-top, then NASCAR Arcade Rush may be up your alley. Announced earlier this week for PS5 and PS4, the “high-octane” release promises to “wildly reimagine” iconic NASCAR circuits, with “jaw-dropping twists, hair-raising turns, gravity-defying jumps, nitro boosts, and other surprises”. There’ll be a single player campaign, along with local and online play.
The press release reveals: “Experience iconic NASCAR tracks like Talladega Superspeedway, Daytona International Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Martinsville Speedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, and more in all-new ways that will thrill your imagination and deliver a new level of playability within the vaunted NASCAR video game franchise.”
There’s no release date attached to the game, but it will cost just $49.99, so is being pitched as more of a budget title. A more expensive option will also be available for $59.99 with a hovercraft car model included. According to Gematsu, it’s being developed by Team6 Studios who’s worked on a number of lower-profile racing games over the years, including Street Outlaws.

Completely unrelated but is that comment counter new?
Actually, looking it up this does look pretty fun, what it has to do with NASCAR I have no idea but hey
@Anke It is!
@get2sammyb I need to get out more.
@get2sammyb Looks interesting. Sorry for off topic, but will you review «Hotwheels unleashed 2 Turbo charged», later this year?
It looks cool. However, I know I sound like a broken record but why doesn't Sega simply port Outrun 2 to modern platforms?
TIME TO TUUUUUUUURRRRRN TO THE LEFT SOMETIMES!!!
@gamer_since_83 Definitely!
Is Team6 the cut-rate version of Team7, of Worms fame? I don't think I'd heard of Team6 before.
I do like my arcade-style racers, but I'm more Motorstorm and less Hot Wheels - this looks like Hot Wheels. Which wasn't a bad game, just..."same-y" after a while.
@Johnnycide I’m just as poor and stupid as you! LET’S GO NASCAR!! GAS PEDAL!!!
£49.99 is NOT a budget game.
If only pushsquare could do an article about Nascars complete failure to put out an acceptable console video game since 2020…
@SoulChimera SHAKE N BAKE BROTHER!
$50 is a budget title now.
