We like Roller Champions – and we love Jet Set Radio. However, we’re not sure the two needed to be combined. Nevertheless, Ubisoft has partnered with SEGA to bring Beat and Gum skins to its online PS4 roller-skating game, and it’s also re-skinning its training skate park around the Tokyo-to location from the legendary Dreamcast release.
The event will get underway from 27th June, and while we think the skins are pretty ugly, it’s probably going to convince us to re-download the game. That’s not a bad thing, though, to be honest, because Roller Champions is really good fun.

Ok, honestly, I’m going to look into Roller Champions now just because of this. The shame of this all though is that the animation shown in the trailer of Beat dancing is the “leaked footage” from Sega a couple months ago, which absolutely dashes some dreams that JSR is anywhere around the bend on its own
I can’t believe this was what the leak was about. Actually I can, it sorta lines up with the series.
A bad day for Jet Set fans I am sure
Am I the only one who sees next to ZERO resemblance between this and the leaked footage from a while back? The model is completely different, and that original shot didn’t even have Gum in it. Unless we’re talking about two different leaks here
Is this up there with don't you have phones. Come on why get this garbage such a iconic set of characters.
Need a new Jet Set Radio game? Here ya go. 😑
Sega already hinted that there will be more jsr, so I see this as good fun.
I can only see this as confirmation of a new Jet Set. JSR is so niche that Sega has to try to get the IP out there ahead of a new game, especially if it's supposed to be one of their "super" games, aka live service.
Otherwise it's a pretty weird collab. Yes they are both rollerblading games, but I don't know anyone who's played Roller Champions, and I know less people IRL that have played JSR.
@Platinum-Bucket @tameshiyaku @RudeAnimat0r I truly hope you three are correct, for the sake of my friends that are big JSR fans.
I just know they were crushed after seeing this trailer.
