Jurassic World Evolution 2 is now available to download and play for all PS Plus Essential members, and team Frontier is marking the occasion in style. It's been revealed the PS5, PS4 game will be updated this Thursday with a content pack commemorating the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park hitting the cinema. It's available for free and adds over 20 iconic items from the film for you to use.
You'll be able to construct the classic Airlock Gates, install mascot Mr. DNA throughout your park, and proudly display the "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" banner. Other items include the Les Gigantes Mural and the Power Bunker. The free update also includes classic pathways, and extra "decorative items such as the T. rex and Alamosaurus skeletons, ever-memorable ‘Big Pile of …’, Small Electrified Fence, and more".
On top of what is already a quality base game, this free update will surely capture the nostalgia so many hold dear for the original Jurassic Park movie. In our Jurassic World Evolution 2 PS5 review, we concluded: "Jurassic World Evolution 2 delivers an entertaining if simplistic park builder, that well-utilises the Jurassic World license, and throws in just the right amount of dinosaur-fuelled mayhem to boot." With Jurassic Park content incoming, it'll be worth getting to grips with the game today or tomorrow and then bathing in the nostalgia once Thursday's patch hits.
Will you be doing so? Let us know in the comments below.

I think I got the platinum in both of these games but I still think about going back to them every now and again. Love a bit of dinosaur.
My main memory of playing the first game was just how quickly such an iconic theme tune can start to annoy you when you hear it every time you boot the game up..
@johncalmc I got the platinum for the first one but the platinum for the second was too frustrating iirc. The Jurassic Park expansion for the first game has been my favourite so far but will definitely check this out when it drops.
Dam this makes me feel old!
@Nexozi me too. I watched it when it released in cinema in 1993.i was 10 😮ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Christ, I remember my parents taking me to see it at the cinema, certainly doesn't feel like 30 years ago... I would have been 8.
Not played either of these, always been tempted as I love a good park/city builder game, I just have so many that I've never took the plunge.
I'll be sure to give this a bash though, looking forward to it
@Kidfunkadelic83 Those were the days! No social media and DLC / battle passes didn't exist. 😂
@Nexozi i dont use social media anyway apart from the odd site like this. Best thing i ever did was remove myself off FB, instagram etc 😂😂. Yesssssss, no battle passes and complete on launch day 😂😂
@Nexozi ah 1993..... the year when Sam and Max Hit the Road and Day of the Tentacle released. What games they were - apart from the sypher codes required to get passed the security making sharing the game with friends a pain in the.....
In the immortal words of Mr Swallow, to the theme tune... 'It's Jurassic Park, It's a massive park, what could possibly go wrong?'.
Hi, Has anyone said Hats Off to Team Frontier - Many Thanks -
I assume I am not jumping the Gun, only to find the Expansion Pack teeming with Microtransactions ...!
@johncalmc I didn’t have much interest in this game until I read your review. I’m halfway tempted to try it, even though I’ve never played a park simulator before and have only a casual interest in the Jurassic Park franchise.
Happy I waited. Just downloaded the game but I'll wait to start until this releases.
