Sony just can't get enough PS Store sales right now. In addition to the huge Days of Play offer, which is currently ongoing, it's introduced a new Double Discounts sale. This semi-regular deal brings prices down on PS5 and PS4 software, and if you're a PS Plus member, the discounts, as the name suggests, are doubled.
It means you can make some serious savings if you're subscribed to PS Plus — up to 70 per cent off, more in some cases — and there are some great games included. Here's a selection of recommendations from us, showing the double discount price.
- Assassin's Creed Valhalla (£15.59 / $15.59)
- Resident Evil Village (£17.49 / $19.99)
- Monster Hunter Rise (£16.49 / $19.99)
- A Plague Tale: Innocence (£10.49 / $11.99)
- The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles (£16.49 / $19.99)
- Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen (£3.99 / $5.39)
- Puyo Puyo Tetris (£3.19 / $3.99)
- Curse of the Dead Gods (£5.43 / $6.79)
Of course, there are lots more deals to browse through. The PS Blog has a basic rundown, and for regional prices, click these links for the European and North American PS Stores.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen (£3.99 / $5.39)
Crazy.
It's a must for everyone.
Dragon dogma dark arisen one of the greatest games ever made.word up son
DD for sure one of the best ones ever made, but I cannot stand the 30FPS anymore. WHY did they not patch this gem for PS5. Not graphics wise only 60FPS and I would be more than happy.
I would have thought they would release a remaster of DD before the sequel, which makes me a bit reluctant to get it. Especially as these sales tend to repeat anyway and I have so much else to play. Will likely pick up the last clockwinder, and perhaps Townsman VR
Marvel’s Midnight Suns at £35 is pretty good. I really enjoyed the game and if you’re a fan of XCOM style games then don’t be put off by the deck building mechanic!
It’s also a neat array of Marvel characters with plenty of obvious choices but some less well known ones too.
Once again I wonder what the point of Sony specifically hyping up the Days of Play sale is, because here's yet another big sale that blows that one out of the water.
Pretty darn good sale! But just copped Diablo IV, so I won't have any spare time for a while...
@Gaia093 Days of Play was pretty lacklustre, yup. Best thing is the subscription price cuts!
Double discount yet MHrise is the same price it always goes on at sale…
@J2theEzzo Diablo 4 is life….I might not even buy FF16 day one now.
Is the Gold Edition of Village worth it? The regular game is € 19,99 and the GE € 29,99.
@Darude84
Take my opinion lightly, as I may have just been to burned out from work to enjoy anything but I loved RE 7, and REALLY didn't enjoy Village. I think I played until the castle and just wasn't finding it fun.
MH Rise is $20 on Switch right now, too, for anyone looking to play it on the go.
Yas! After the PlayStation Showcase, I was looking at getting Dragon's Dogma - happier now that it's only £4!
Like everyone else, Dragon's Dogma is the game I'm grabbing. I guess it just wasn't on my radar when it first came out, but since everyone is hyped about the sequel I'll check out the first one for $5.00!
Looking at this price, Dragon's Dogma gonna be coming to
some form of PS+ soon then.
@J2theEzzo Diablo IV you say? You won't have any spare time, ever.
@FatalBubbles 100% agree. I am on Diablo 4 for years to come. I might take a look at FF16, but not sure yet. D4 is so so good. Happy to see Blizzard still has it. They were and still are one of my favorites if not my favorite studio in the world.
We need more PSVR2 games in the sales please Sony.
@Mauzuri it doesn’t have quite the romantic side stories, but it does have a pretty large world to roam about. A dragon to hunt, monsters galore, dungeons, quests, even a chance to save the world.
@Green-Bandit It is so addicting. I’ve got a level 33 druid using a companion build right now, lots of fun. How about you?
I really should play Dragons Dogma, bought it ages ago in a sale and never ended up starting it.
Typically, there's nothing catching my eye and I've got funds in my PS account after cashing in some points and using a ShopTo reduction to top up my year of Extra.
@thefourfoldroot1 Dragon's Dogma is a remaster.... they're not going to remaster the remaster. Capcom isn't Naughty Dog, lol.
It's kind of a unique cult thing, but, as @KaijuKaiser rightly said, it's kind of janky and dated. I see why people love the potential, but a lot of it's "open world" is a very "PS3 open world", hard to navigate, confusing, easy to get turned around and have no idea where you're going, and then get stuck on battles you didn't have resources to fight. The sequel could be something special but the OG is a game that I have a feeling if you didn't play it when it was new, it may undersell the series. I played it after it's time, but never got myself to finish it. I probably got 1/3 through, saw something special in the potential, but the age really shows in the map design when devs weren't quite sure what to do with large open spaces yet. For the price though it's probably worth it even to just play the beginning and see how it all began before the sequel though.
"Will likely pick up the last clockwinder, and perhaps Townsman VR"
Finally! LOL I never finished either of them, I'm near the end of Townsman and never got back to it, and clockwinder I love but the latter puzzles are more physical with the throwing and I'm convinced I'm going to break something if I keep trying that Cool puzzles/physics though.
@NEStalgia
I think my tolerance of older game design is relatively high. Thoroughly enjoyed Kingdoms of Amular re-reckoning, the originals and remaster being released at around the same time after doing some research. If it’s dated design in a similar way I could probably suffer through it before the sequel should the sequel be awesome.
Would you recommend Clockwinder or Townsman first? Which did you enjoy more?
I finally pulled the trigger on the Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium complete bundle for 50% off.
@FatalBubbles Got a 26 sorcerer and a 18 barbarian. Loving it. Would like to try tonight to either get the Sorcerer to 30 or bring the Barb up to 25. Both builds are really fun. Druid and Rouge are the next i would like to try. Necro ain’t my thing really. I played them in Diablo 3 when the expansion came out and added the class. But i can live without it. Glad to hear you are liking it so much and remember the great thing about this game is its cross play, so Xbox, PS and PC can all play together. Which makes it so much better 😀
@thefourfoldroot1 Hard to compare the two games directly they're completely different things. Townsman is a top-down RTS-lite kind of affair, emphasis on building and resource gathering with light combat eventually, Last Clockwinder is a closed-room physics-puzzle game where you set up complex chains of repeating actions by basically cloning yourself and throwing things at your future self to catch. Townsman is more of a relaxing game with a lot of down time waiting for activities to finish as you watch the workers run back and forth from resources to activities, while Clockwinder definitely becomes increasingly physical, as you really do have to throw things across a room on a regular basis, sometimes two-handed (throw two fruits at your future self's location to then stand in the future location, catch both, then re-throw them or throw them at a bowl, or at the hardest, stick them onto the connectors, join them with another object you pick up and then throw them to another future self.
Clockwinder starts simple enough, but ramps up to basically Twister for your arms lol. Townsman can have 12 minutes of sitting and watching peasants run half-way across a map 4 times to gather lumber.
Clockwinder will eventually have you breaking a sweat. Townsman, definitely not.
@NEStalgia “Dragon's Dogma is a remaster.... they're not going to remaster the remaster. Capcom isn't Naughty Dog, lol.”
HHAHAHA you got me good on this one.
Already own all of them that I want .
@Green-Bandit rogue rogue.. they're not make up
@Marquez I thought I'd play after work "just for an hour". Yeah... right...
@FatalBubbles Yeah, a friend was keen on FF16, but once he heard I'd grabbed Diablo, he had to jump ship! Coop for the win!
@PsBoxSwitchOwner yh,this double discount named sale is a simple manipulation and taking us for fools honestly.
Its more a half discount, then the usual, for all users, and regular sale price only for subscribers this time, pff.
@KaijuKaiser Lol, can't let our swords get to rusty with all this peace time! 😂
With how much Capcom has been on a roll these days I'm keeping my eyes open for it. They don't have much big, open, RPG experience and dragons dogma was both impressive and rough because of it, but with the talent they've been showing, I'm tentatively optimistic they can sand off the rough edges and give it it's own identity rather than being a sort of a middle ground not knowing what it wants to be. I don't think I'll be in the hype line for it but I'll be glancing over the fence to see if they nailed it.
