Same games same prices almost every sale.
@PenguinLtd Imo, it is the worst of all the games but still a very good game overall. The DLC are the best for me though, they're incredibly good.
As with most things Sony at the moment this big days of play sale is a bit underwhelming and dissapointing.
I think this will be the first time I don’t sign up to PS Plus for the year. I added up the backlog; 100 games across PlayStation, Switch, Steam and Xbox. It just seems silly to spend unnecessarily when I have plenty of games to play. But for those that are; ShopTo do good deals on PSN cards, you can get PS Plus Premium down to about £65 (which makes it £5.50 per month). It is very worth it at that price.
That last showcase didn’t indicate to me that Sony will have any good games coming to PS Plus from their first party if I’m honest: God of War: Ragnorok is the one now. And if they do, I’ll just grab a month of it. If they had brought the PS1 games regularly, I would have signed up in a heartbeat.
@add286 Came here to say the same thing! With my ShopTo Gold I got a year of PS+ Extra for just £55! In case people are wondering - the deals are open to existing customers and you can stack them too. Not sure how far into the future you can go but I have added three years.
Nice, just extended my PS+ Extra annual subscription. Found nothing interesting aside of that though.
As usual physical sales are cheaper.
Forspoken is £28. Anno 1800 £20
Star ocean/Valkyrie Elysian/ tactics ogre all around £20.
Just to name a few.
Even GAME in the UK are doing GOW:R for £34.99 in their Days of play sale. These are just rediculous sales prices with absolutely 0 incentive to go digital.
Was hoping for a bigger discount on Dead Island 2. This sale price is still more expensive than buying a new physical copy
Boy don't I know there's a sale on. My PS5 kept telling me about my wishlist games on sale last night.
Pretty underwhelming sale this time around, both in amount of games and the discounts themselves. 400+ games sounds good on paper, but if you filter out expansions and such it's actually more like 200+.
They had significantly bigger sales not so long ago, which is a bit perplexing considering this one specifically is presented as a big thing by Sony. No need to look further than even the previous one:

Hoping there'll be a refresh halfway through with more interesting deals.
@PenguinLtd for that price, I'd do it. While some people really disliked Dark Souls 2, and for valid reasons, it's still worth a go. The DLC does some interesting things for the story and while the maps don't line up, there were some cool locations.
This is a bit of a bum sale, nothing screams "BUY ME".
Looks like it's just software this year and not the usual discount on controllers and other accessories as well. Was waiting for this to pick up an extra controller so guess the wait will be a bit longer.
Kind of a lame sale this year, but for my stateside gaming buddies, I found Hogwarts PS5 physical from WalMart, $52.99 + tax, but you have to order it online. I got free shipping, and it will allegedly show up later today. Even if I get it tomorrow, still saved about $17!
@AdamNovice PS mobile app is even worse…a pop up for every 3 games that are in your wish list.
One of the reasons I’ve stopped bothering adding games to the wish list.
Garbage sale.
Man Sony used to go all out for days of play, but than again they used to give us good showcases too so .
@Exerion76 Not really cheaper on disc if you use the right PSN store, especially when combined with these sale prices.
Ragnarok for £25, for example. Dead Island 2 for £23. Not interested in either of those right now, but I did pre-order FFXVI for £32 the other day, so it's all good.
Wow what a sale, get the remaster of a decade old game for just £52.49 and it's still more expensive then it's normal price on Steam 🙈 or God of War for nearly £20 more than it is in GAME
Cris Tales for under £7 was the only thing that caught my attention
Days of Play sales used to be particularly good. Not any more, it seems.
I look at the prices for GOW and TLOU and I’m perfectly happy with the £30 each I paid for the physical editions a few months after release.
Still waiting for Sekiro to drop to a decent price so I can pick up a digital copy but it only ever drops to £30..
Saying a game thats been remade multiple times is on sale for 51 quid is just rubbish to be honest.
I'm good for now with the never ending backlog and all the PS Plus games on top. I'll have a proper looksy when boot up the PS5 later just incase something tickles my fancy. Having a beertime this evening with Noel Gallaghers new record Council Skies. Love me some IPA with guitar tunes on the occasional weekends
I see Sekiro is forever stuck at $29.99/£29.99.
At these prices I think I'll end up buying Forspoken before Ragnarok, lol.
I was hoping for some VR sales, and I'm pretty disappointed.
@PenguinLtd DS2 is incredible and quite unfairly maligned. Go in with an open mind and make sure to level up ADP, which gives you crucial dodge roll improvements.
Nothing I'm dying to own right now, will wait for Black Friday sales instead.
Nothing enticing enough to open my wallet.
If it weren’t for my new Zelda game I’d be completely out of things to play.. I’m mainly a traditional RPG guy.. I love the AC collect-a-thons and exploring Fallout games but I’ve played/beat them all.. idk what to look forward to gaming wise.. Spider-Man 2? Meh, I’ve explored fake New York enough.. as others have said here though.. nothing of merit and physical is cheaper
On the ps store app, when you click on that sale, it also includes the games on sale in the previous sale still on, makes you loose time looking thru the list until you realize it.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner but but but digital is the future lol. Physical Rules. I'm just joking but agree I always see lots of physical releases available cheaper than the digital deals. There is room for both formats though. I just don't want to see the demise of physical discs.....Yes I'm old 🤣
Must have had 15 wish list notifications over the space of an hour from that sale going live. Had to turn my notifications off, ridiculous
@PenguinLtd The weakest Souls game is still an above average action game. Worth playing imo. It's my least favourite but still loved it.
@PenguinLtd totally worth it. It’s an odd one and was a bit decisive with the fan base but I really enjoyed it. It’s probably my least favourite of the bunch but still a fantastic game. Difficulty is on par with the others as long as you invest points into the stat that increases your invincibility during rolls (can’t remember what it’s called but it’s not present in the other games)
They need to make these “sales” more appealing price-wise. We are just paying the old full game price for a sale now. TLOU part 1 should be £30 on sale by now. I’ve backed Sony to the hilt but it’s getting harder and harder to do so now
Just not good enough Sony.
Wallet closed.
@Mikey856 if you wait long enough, prices will go down. It just takes longer now that prices are higher. At least they eventually do go down, unlike with Nintendo.
There’s a couple of games I want that are on sale but still a fair bit out of my price range, especially with the fact FFXVI comes out this month as well.
@BusyOlf same, I had 10 notifications between me getting into bed and waking up the next morning and that was 10 notifications for just the one game, I have several others but weren’t hounded with those ones. Really was ridiculous.
