Atomic Heart developer Mundfish has announced it'll be shipping the game's first piece of DLC on 2nd August 2023 on PS5, PS4 in a new trailer. Viewable above, the first of four expansions takes place after the events of the main game and takes you to the Mendeleev Complex to discover the truth about NORA. The DLC will be available as part of the title's Atomic Pass, which costs £32.99/$39.99.
"Survive vicious, shape-shifting new enemies and take them down using two cunning new weapons — ranged one the Secateur and melee one the Klusha — as well as your glove’s new Techno-Stasis ability, allowing you to manipulate time itself," a press release teases. "Meet a new enigmatic character, as well as returning ones in surprising circumstances and dive deep into the AI’s insanity to curb its Annihilation Instinct."
In addition, a New Game+ option is now available for the base game, which increases the difficulty and carries over your range of abilities and weapons. The enemies you meet will have new resistances and attack effects.

It’s like a game from about 2003 in the worst possible way. I guess it’s one for people who insist that Duke Nukem Forever could have ever been a good game.
I'd still like to try this game out for myself, but I won't be buying it for anything more than $30.
This could be the worst game I had the (dis)pleasure of playing this year. This one was in the same tier as Redfall, sadly. Broken mess with awful level design and quest structure. I’d put it above Redfall simply because of the visuals and art direction, which I did quite like, but I’d recommend anyone to stay far away from this game, especially with the ludicrously priced DLC.
Will probably wait for a dlc bundle sale when it's all released, and reviews, before potentially buying it.
I loved the game though, great soundtrack and visuals, gameplay could be worked on but overall one of the few games I would actually pay full price for despite not playing it all that much.
I’m looking to play this after I’ve platted ff16, is it any good?
Played it on PC GamePass, it was fun. Opened up after the first base and a bit in (glad I stuck with it). Really liked how imaginative the world is.
I'll get it at some point. If play the game on PC GamePass, I'll usually try and give a bit more cash to the team via DLC (as a rule)
The soundtrack was what I really loved. Still have a few tracks on my main Spotify playlist.
@RudeAnimat0r I was thinking more about anything north of $3
The most telling thing about Atomic Heart is that after all the hype and discourse, I genuinely forgot it existed until I read this article.
I completed atomic heart and have no idea how these events can take place after the story without some retconing. I was hoping for a new game plus but enemies were a pain as is with out specific weaknesses so il pass
I really want to play this game but after all the bad to middling reviews, I can’t justify getting it until it’s deeply discounted. And at this point I may just wait until either the Gold Edition is on sale or the game AND SP are both on sale separately.
It was okay, I wanted to like it more, but got bored after finishing the first building, the open world spams you with respawning monsters so that drew tiresome quick. The plot was obvious from the start and the dialogue was wonky. The art style was nice. And yeah, I felt a bit dirty playing a Russian made game while the country is blowing up schools and hospitals. Not to get political, but they are doing those things so it’s hard to separate that reality.
Loved it. I’ll happily take more content. Price is arguably a little hefty but think I can stomach it. It was pretty buggy at launch although nothing game-breaking during my playthrough. PC performance was rock solid for once!
This game was an absolute masterpiece imo. The combat was a blast and the graphics were amazing. I have Xbox series and ps5 and tried it on gamepass for about 30mins then happily purchased it on ps5 with all the golden content.
@lolwhatno Christ for real damn. I loved this but some ppl just can’t enjoy a good time and pick apart every tiny little thing
@Agramonte same!! Absolutely loved the music!!!
@Loamy okay thanks for that man. I’m definitely tempted. It looks like my kind of thing tbh
@Loamy Hi! Only COD I’ve played is the recent one & Vanguard (and the beta of black ops 2 I think it was). I wasn’t concerned so much with propaganda, just $$ flowing into Russia via video games when they’re being sanctioned for their war crimes. Out of Iraq and Afghan, Afghan did have a legitimate reason (training camps and bin larden). The Iraq war was a lie (they didn’t have weapons of mass destruction) but at the end of the day, getting rid of Saddam was a good thing. Neither are anything like what they’re doing in Ukraine. Anyway, let’s not political! It was just my 2c.
That’s a good point about the Russian citizens, I hadn’t considered that. It is unfair for them, they don’t really seem to have any say in what is decided for them, even though they’re a democracy, Putin and his oligarchy have been running the place for 20+ years now.
Yep, I’d hate to have the same thing happen to us.
And yeah, good chat! Glad we bumped into each other! Have a fantastic day!
