Dedicated web-heads out enjoying the spectacular Across the Spider-Verse over the weekend might have caught a precious few frames of Insomniac's upcoming Marvel's Spider-Man 2, whether they know it or not.
Confirmed to be new footage by Insomniac's own James Stevenson, the blink-and-you-'ll-miss-it scene depicts Spidey doing Spider-Man things. If you did happen to catch this one for yourself, have a gold star for being so observant. If not, PlayStation Studios Fans grabbed a glimpse:
In related Spider-Man 2 news, there's a reason Peter's Symbiote suit looks so grubby, and we learnt that this next iteration of New York City would be "roughly twice the size" of that in Marvel's Spider-Man.
Did you get out to see Across the Spider-Verse over the weekend? What did you think? Let us know in the comments section below.

Took my Nephews to see it on Friday and we all agreed it was the best Spider-Man movie by far. Can’t wait for part 3.
Yuri Lowenthal also makes a brief cameo in the movie as well. That and hearing Josh Keaton again put some of the biggest smiles on my face.
Hopefully in the third one we'll see all the different variants of Miles so that Nadji Jeter can get a cameo. He definitely deserves one.
Sony cross marketing is the best in the business.
@Enuo @ItsBritneyB_tch I saw it last night with some friends at a drive-in. I liked the movie but missed some stuff. I'll be re-watching it in a regular theater soon.
My score is an 8/10, re-watch should be 9/10.
My friends were very upset that it ended on a cliffhanger, but I already knew there'd be a 3rd film so that didn't faze me.
Yeah I peeped Ganke playing on the PS5 and thought he was playing Spider-Man 1/Remastered at first, but more eagle eyed people are showing that Peter's using the mechanical arms as a gameplay mechanic, which was shown off in the reveal trailer. Insane cross marketing by Sony lmao
Watched this in IMAX and would implore everyone who is able to do the same. It's a work of art and a great movie to boot.
I did see this, but assumed it was Spiderman remastered. Insomniac spiderman turns up on screen at one point in the movie too, with a little box specifically identifying him, which is treatment that not many of the other cameos received
Honestly the best films ever made, was absolutely blown away
Didn't know it was out
@KidRyan yeah, it’s a really fast-paced movie with so much going on in every scene and so many layers. I loved the way they used colour to represent the emotions of the characters in certain scenes - just, amazing. Repeat viewings are a must - so we’ve booked to see it again at the weekend in 4DX 😁
I didn’t know about there being a part 3 so they got me with the rug-pull at the end. But I was so blown away by what I’d just seen I didn’t even mind. I don’t think I’ve ever been more hyped for a movie as I am for Beyond the Spider-Verse.
I just thought it was a fun little easter-egg for the HD Remastered Spider-Man when I saw it. Didn't thought it was a small teaser for Spider-Man 2.

My friend pointed it out to me in the theater but I still haven't finished Spider-Man 1 so I thought it was from that but had no idea it's from the upcoming Spider-Man 2 game.
Was reading that Imsomniac were apologising for the last one being "Cop Friendly" and they have rectified it this time around. We really do live in an alternate reality now don't we?
