EA Sports' first football simulator after FIFA, named EA Sports FC, may be releasing across PS5, PS4 consoles on 29th September 2023 according to reliable PS Plus leaker billbill-kun. A new report from the mysterious insider claims such a release date is on the cards, and standard and ultimate versions will be on offer, with the latter handing you one week of early access. That edition allows dedicated players to start their career on 22nd September 2023.
In addition, EA Play members will receive their usual 10-hour trial once the ultimate edition goes live on PS5, PS4. It has been announced EA Sports will reveal more about the game this month, with the logo so far being the single piece of marketing material made public. Lots of football clubs also posted across social media about how they'll still be in the game, so to speak.
While they're best known for PS Plus leaks just prior to the official announcements, billbill-kun has been starting to post other information. Given their track record up until this point, it seems safe to put some level of trust in this latest claim. Is this a release date you can work with or is the end of this year already a bit too crowded to fit another game into your schedule? Start planning in the comments below.

Sounds about right. Really excited to see this year's game!
I'm 100% not buying this only to be suckered into a black Friday sale, where I will buy it, play be a pro, mess with FUT (or whatever it will be called now) before I get bored and don't play it again. Then I'll repeat the cycle in 2024 until forever.
I'll be interested if they finally add cross-play in Pro Clubs.
@Dudditz09 haha I didn’t give any thought to what FUT might be called this year. EASFCUT doesn’t really have the same ring to it
But yours sounds like a similar story to me. I say every year I’m not gonna buy it, always do, sink hours and hours into FUT, get frustrated and go back intermittently through the year until the next iteration.
@ED_209 or if they add or fix literally anything at all. The same random bugs from pro clubs 22, that had disappeared in 23, reappeared recently. And it's basically utter trash anyway.
And despite this, I will still absolutely binge it from time to time instead of playing something better 😭😭 as is the continuous pain of Fifa
@GeeEssEff just call it FUT. That is a brand in itself like CoD. If anyone asks, it's Football's Ultimate Team
Still waiting for the master league add on for e football.
It pretty much always releases on the last Friday of September so hardly the most outlandish prediction / "leak"
Played this year’s one quite a lot, I usually buy it every couple of years to spread out the improvements so they feel like an actual jump. Intrigued by this one, we’ll see if they use the opportunity to do something different. They could really do with a Be a Pro mode that’s as good as NBA2K’s MyPlayer.
I think, depending on early reviews/impressions, this may be the last time I bother buying it. And that is just out of intrigue as to what, if anything, will be different now FIFA has departed. If nothing has changed at all apart from the name then my only hope is Konami get their finger (or head) out and actually provide a good offline experience for eFootball and I'll just play that for free instead. Neither game is particularly great, but free is better than £70!
Ngl this is probably the most predictable shout anyone could make about a FIFA release.
@tomassi nothing will be different, besides the name.
@Smiffy01 Same. Supposedly it’s out after the summer update this year, so maybe late September?
@Fight_Teza_Fight Hope so bud i dont play any FUT type stuff on it.
I’m curious to see if the name change has any effect on sales. I do wonder how many gamers that don’t follow gaming news might be unaware.
I’d guess EA is going to do a lot of marketing to make sure everyone knows.
Will be interesting to see how it will affect sales.
Still playing eFootball PES 21 with this seasons updates and transfers. Can't envisage a scenario where it's not still the best football game available. Recent FIFA' s and Konami's latest effort have never got anywhere near it.
