Immortals of Aveum is shaping up to be a big, bombastic AAA first-person shooter and a single-player one, at that. Generic fantasy setting or not, that's a rare enough treat these days, and so we were eager to learn more about it.
Featuring different colours of magic that correlate to different combat situations, there are 25 spells total for potential Immortals to choose from. Red spells are best used in close encounters, while blue ones allow for long-ranged attacks. Green, meanwhile, offers rapid firing and homing options, and utilising all in concert will be critical to success.
Recently delayed, Immortals of Aveum is now due out on 22nd August for PS5 and PS4. That's a few days ahead of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, and so some players will likely have an interesting decision on their hands that week.
What do you think of Immortals of Aveum? Up your alley, or not your cup of tea? Let us know in the comments section below.

I’m always on the lookout for a decent single-player cinematic game, so this is definitely on my radar.
PS4? The game is current gen only no?
@RazielReaper I think there was talk of it, but all other sites seem to confirm PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Heck, if it can run decently on a Xbox Series S though...
This looks decent but I'm not paying full price for it maybe get it on sale in year if it reviews well.
A new IP with a lead character that is male?!....I kid, I kid.
Looks pretty cool. I'll check the reviews when it releases and probably wait for it to come down off of a $70 price tag.
@ILikeStake I don’t get the joke arnt there a lot of new IPs with male leads?
