A compilation of the highly memorable 8-bit and 16-bit Jurassic Park games will release on PS5 and PS4, with pre-orders for physical copies beginning on 1st September through 15th October. The package will feature three versions of the original Jurassic Park game, originally released for NES, SNES, and Game Boy. You’ll also get two versions of Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues, originally released for SNES and Game Boy.
Unfortunately, there’s no word of the popular SEGA Genesis or SEGA CD versions being included as well, although the trailer does promise more information about the collection will be announced in the future.
Nevertheless, each game will be updated for more contemporary audiences, including quality of life features like save states, improved in-game maps, and more. We’re particularly fond of the NES adaptation of Steven Spielberg’s hit 90s movie, which includes a really rather impressive render of a T-Rex during the intro sequence – an incredible achievement on the 8-bit machine. The actual game’s pretty good, too – albeit hard as nails.
With Limited Run Games handling the physical editions, there’ll be a variety of options to order. The most basic package will run you $29.99 for a boxed Blu-ray disc, but there’ll also be a Steelbook Edition for $64.99 which ships in classic VHS-style packaging. Then there’s the Prehistoric Edition which comes with all of the above in addition to Dr. Alan Grant’s ID card, a physical CD soundtrack, mini cartridge replicas, and packaging inspired by the original Jurassic Park toys.

collection seems pointless without the Sega games
I liked the SNES version okay, though never finished it because there was no save system. I would, however, love to see the Genesis and even the Sega CD releases included here.
The sega genesis Jurassic games was definitely the best.word up son
I've had some 8bit version (chinese fake NES) and loved that even if I was killed in first level and second level reached only once.
...ohh they should release my favorite "99in1" collection...
Wow. I know that's the physical edition price with quirks and all, but the quirks have more value than the games they've chosen. Beating a dead horse here, but Jurassic Park and it's Rampage edition blow these games out of the water in comparison 😂
What is actually going on with this barrage of collections of ancient games most people don’t actually even remember because they weren’t really notable?
Somebody needs to do an Earthworm Jim collection.
The Amiga game was the best one - the first person levels were terrifying.
I have the Game Boy game, it is basically a port of the NES game. However, I preferred the SEGA versions. SEGA stills owns those games, I don't see them included in this collection.
Hope they include the Sega mega drive games as well. The lost world Jurassic park for mega drive was the first co op game I ever played with my brother
@Ken_Kaniff Highly agree with that. I’ve only played the HD remaster of the first one which I really enjoyed. Always wanted to play the second one on the PS one but costs an absolute fortune
@Ken_Kaniff Earthworm Jim collection? You and I are kindred spirits.
Oh the nostalgia. I wish they added The Lost World for PS1. You get to play as the dinosaurs.
Earthworm Jim games were amazing.
Aw no Chaos Island? No one ever seems to remember that one. It was like a C&C clone with Dinosaurs, I lived on that game when I was a kid haha.
@JohntheRaptor that was a nice one, playing as a t-rex
I still have my old Super Nintendo Jurassic Park game. Beat it once or twice years ago. had fun with that game
While we are at it with remasters people aren’t asking for - can we have a remastered collection of Star Wars games which got butchered by reviews? I’d like to play Masters of Teras Kasai and that vehicle combat arena one. Cheers
