Remnant 2 is the sequel to Remnant: From the Ashes, a cooperative third-person shooter that incorporated Souls-Like elements in addition to a randomised rogue-lite component. It was a heady mix of ideas in addition to being a ton of fun, and it seems like developer Gunfire Games has been honing the resultant sequel to a razor edge.
While the focus is very much on firearms of all shapes and sizes (and eldritch origins), players will need to manage a stamina bar in combat against the game's many climactic boss encounters. Similarly, lesser enemies will respawn upon resting, and the entire combat system is underpinned by deep RPG mechanics. Add to that a vast array of aggressive enemy types, and you have a recipe for yet another solid title demanding your attention when this one launches on PS5 next week, on 25th July.

This looks like more of the same great stuff as the first one.
Won't get it at launch but likely wait for a nice sale and try to trick a couple of friends into buying it for co-op.
Can't wait to play it. For those who haven't played Chronos: Before the Ashes yet I highly recommend it.
Shooty: oooh…!
Soulslike: Nah.
So what happens when you don’t have a 2nd player?
@Bunchesopuppies You can play the whole thing solo. I solo’d the first. People say it’s a lot harder on your own but I had specific builds in mind when I played so found it good fun, apart from a couple of infuriating bosses. They’ve actually added a character class that has an AI companion doggo for people who want an easier time playing solo. Looking forward to checking it out.
@Sequel Guess I gotta go grind then, never made it to first boss in sewers.
