More than three years after its arrival on PS4, Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition is getting a native PS5 port. Annapurna Interactive has just announced this highly acclaimed adventure game will be heading to Sony's current-gen console on 17th August, 2023.
In case you're unaware, Kentucky Route Zero started life as an episodic point n' click adventure on PC, and after the final chapter was released, the TV Edition — including all episodes — came to consoles. It tells a surreal tale that reinvents itself several times throughout its duration, mixing in human themes, haunting music, and unique visuals.
It's a very highly regarded game, and this new PS5 version seems as good a time as any to hop in. Will you be playing Kentucky Route Zero on PS5? Venture into the comments section below.

That is so weird, I was literally thinking about this game in the last hour or so. Give me a free upgrade and new trophy list and I'll definitely go back to it.
I started playing it on phone a couple of months back but didn't fully get into it. Might jump back in when it's out as I think part of the reason I didn't get into it is because I don't tend to play mobile phone games for the most part
Are there upgrades from the PS4 version?
Will there be a free upgrade at all?
It’s a free upgrade from the PS4 version. They replied to my question on the YT vid.
For those saying they fell off the game, I did too! For months. Then one day I picked it up again and it clicked that time. I got the platinum and played it through again as I enjoyed it that much. Give it another shot, maybe it’ll grab you this time.
I can’t wait to play it again lasted this month!
Yeah this actually fell flat for me. Was expecting to love it but just felt bored for most of it… probably me as it’s so well loved.
Bought. Played the intro, but never left the basement. Suppose I should try to play it more.
One of the most extraordinary gaming experiences over the last few years. It’s not for everyone but I’d highly recommend jumping on the route and enjoying the ride.
Played this on PC...pretentious rubbish of the very worst kind. And this needs a PS5 version why exactly? Oh, to extract more cash of course.
AVOID.
Absolute pretentious twaddle. One of the worst games I've ever played, and I do not say that with hyperbole. I wanted to claw my face off by the last episode.
