Mandragora is a 2.5D sidescrolling action RPG set in a dark fantasy world, featuring a painterly art style and a stamina-based combat system. It dodge-rolls its way onto PS5 in 2024.
Set in a vast, interconnected world, you'll encounter dangerous enemies and terrifying boss encounters while playing as one of Mandragora's unique character classes, with ever-deepening layers of New Game + difficulty to look forward to. You'll encounter some friendly faces, as well; a variety of skilled artisans can join your growing caravan, allowing you to craft weapons, armour and trinkets and brew helpful potions to aid you.
What do you think of Mandragora? Does it have what it takes to stand out amongst the many others trying to capture that Hollow Knight, Salt & Sanctuary magic? For that matter, how are we feeling about 2.5D these days? Let us know in the comments section below.

Not sure why, but something about the animation feels off in this clip, like it's not very precise or responsive. Hard to judge without playing of course. There's a lot of competition in the 2D metroidvania/action-adventure genre these days, so we'll see if it manages to stand out.
This is actually looking good, like trine series but darker but more action, rather than puzzle, oriented 😃
I don't have problem with 2.5D as long as the art style & graphics good enough, like this game.
Though Cgi style, doesn't look half bad! As always a crowded market with the platform slash em up genre so will probably be a watch & wishlist, but hopefully the game matches the visuals!🤞🙏
The art looks really great! But the movement and fighting feels slow and very generic. Hopefully they'll manage to add more complexity, and maybe some speed, to it.
This looks awesome! I too am glad we're getting another game that looks and plays like Shadow Complex.
Reminds me of Grimvalor, which I played on mobile and then Switch. Hopefully this turns out to be as fun.
