Guilty Gear Strive's game-changing update, which kicks off Season 3, launches on the 24th August — and it doesn't arrive alone. Infamous swordsman Johnny is finally back as the first DLC character of this fresh season, and he looks more stylish than ever before in his reveal trailer.

There are going to be four more DLC fighters (including Johnny) in Season 3. The second drops later this year, the third in early 2024, and the fourth in 2024. Two new stages will also be included in the Season 3 pass.

With that out of the way, we need to revisit that game-changing update, because it's bringing new mechanics — both offensive and defensive — and it's adding new attacks to select characters (with more coming in later patches, apparently). It all sounds pretty exciting if you're a big Strive fan.
