Bandai Namco has finally slapped a release date on Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections. The arena fighter, which is basically a mashup of previous Ultimate Ninja Storm games and some new Boruto stuff, will feature over 130 playable characters at launch, making this one of the largest rosters to ever grace an anime-based title.
Anyway, Connections leaps to PS5 and PS4 on the 17th November — adding another game to what's shaping up to be a busy holiday schedule.

Does anyone know if the deluxe or ultimate edition upgrades can be bought as an add on if we buy the standard edition and choose to upgrade later?
Similar to what Spider-Man 2 is doing?
This is what Mortal Kombat needed to do. Include every playable character ever from every game. This is fantastic news and i cant wait to play as all 130 characters. I hope there is a trophy/achievement for doing the ultimate move of all 130 characters!
@NarutosBiggestFan It easy to add 130 characters when your game still looks and plays like the last 3 games. Where is the real innovation? Why can’t we get something on the scale of the Lego Skywalker Saga where we play all 3 series attached to a massive detailed world.
I really wish Bandai lost the rights, and we can get Naruto games published by other publishers again. Bandai is putting in so little effort cause idiot anime fans eat this trash up.
Running around extremely detailed world provided in Ubisoft’s Naruto games were the highlight of my childhood, and the only game that come close to matching is kakarot.
@AverageGamer “It easy to add 130 characters when your game still looks and plays like the last 3 games”
MK is a worse offender and @NarutosBiggestFan is right. Every MK game since the PS3 days used the exact same engine until now…
@AverageGamer I mean, you're not wrong... I will buy it and play it no matter what because I am a Naruto fan in general and want to keep playing games, but yes i 1000% agree that Naruto Rise of a Ninja and Naruto Broken Bonds were my favorite games on the 360 and Ubisoft needs to get the rights back and make more of them. Continuing the story right after Bonds and just keeping up with them until the latest season of Boruto. Traversing the open world and having to learn and use the different Jutsu from different characters to reach new places or higher locations. That is exactly what we Naruto fans want and deserve!
@Savage_Joe “ Every MK game since the PS3 days used the exact same engine until now…”
Don’t know what this really has to do with anything… Most games run on the same engine forever. Last of us 2 is mostly likely still running on the same proprietary engine as Uncharted from the PS3. You just modify the toolset and backend. Mortal Kombat 1 would probably still be using UE3 if Epic probably supported it.
But the game has still seen multiple visual quality enhancements to character model, textures, environments, particle effects, and physics. Not to mention it also runs at 60FPS on all platforms.
I can’t say the same thing about the Naruto games, and it will probably still run at 30FPS PS4/Xbox One. But it fine, these games are meant to be minimum effort, maximum profit. The game will go on to sell 9 million copies
