PS Plus Premium’s growing selection of emulated classics looks set to expand yet again in the near-future, with the Taiwanese ratings board classifying two retro PSP titles for PS5 and PS4. Listings for both Tekken 6 and SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny appeared overnight, with the latter obviously being a handheld exclusive. The former also released on the PS3, but it’s almost certain we’ll be getting the surprisingly strong portable port in this particular instance.
SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny is particularly noteworthy, as it features Kratos as a playable cameo character, and has never released outside of the PSP until now. Of course, while this will come as welcome news, it’s worth noting that Bandai Namco has been more reluctant to add Trophies to its retro releases than Sony, so don’t expect this duo to get any sparkly new gongs.
Sony has definitely been strengthening the selection of software available with its top-tier subscription of late, however, with Ape Escape: On the Loose, MediEvil: Resurrection, and Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice all due out today.

I wish Sony would have mandated trophies for all of these.
Tekken 6 came off to me as very unbalanced after the fantastic dark resurrection. Probably the weakest entry next to Tekken 4, but I've never played 7 either.
Man, I wish they would bring Tekken 5 to modern consoles. Both Dark Resurrection and the OG, so that we can get the T1-3 arcade games as well.
If these are cloud 👎
If these are native/emulated/run in the damn machine in my house 👍
I am surprised that they didn't bring Tekken 5 DR from PSP yet , or the Tekken 3 in that matter ... weird
That PSP game was the last SoulCalibur game I put a serious amount of time into. Such a good game for a handheld.
@MattBoothDev They will be the same as all the other premium classic collection.
@InsaneWade
Oh yeah i forgot about that but still they could somehow lock him or just delete him :/
Are they available for sale?
Didn't care much for Tekken 6 (my least favorite in the series, actually) on PS3 so I have no desire to play the PSP version, but if that game is getting put on the service I hope it means we could one day get the PSP version of Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection as well, that's one of my favorite fighting games of all-time. SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny was pretty bare bones but in terms of gameplay is great, will download that one for sure.
@tameshiyaku Tekken 6 wasn't that bad. Tekken 7 is good, but at the same time introduces Rage arts which honestly ruin the game. Hopefully they fixed it in Tekken 8, but now they are adding power meters and a lot of other junk from less inspired fighting games. The art visual triggers on the UI still appear to be present.
Much rather have the PS3 version of Tekken 6..... Stupid nonsense like this which lands us inferior versions of the game when a better version is available. Honestly wish they'd just port T6, don't need to do anything with it, just port it.
Additionally these probably won't have trophies either, so I'm going to care a bit less. Namco's lukewarm half assed implementation of this is rather sad.
Being able to play SC: Broken Destiny with a fightstick is a pretty rad idea - I'm looking forward to it.
I'm meh on Tekken 6, since I own the far-superior PS3 version and my console is still hooked up. But a unique SoulCalibur, with Kratos, and now I can play it with a decent controller? I'm in!
@B-Real
Yeah, a very good SoulCalibur game made even better. I figured we'd get it eventually because Namco's been releasing a lot of PSP games. Hopefully it's sooner rather than later. Very fun on PSP but with a proper controller? Even better.
