Lost Eidolons is a turn-based strategy RPG that launched on PC last year, and now it's coming to PS5 in just a few weeks, on the 24th August. Taking clear inspiration from tactical mainstays like Fire Emblem — specially in how combat unfolds — but opting for a more grounded art direction, Lost Eidolons has 'Mostly Positive' user reviews on Steam, where it's often praised for rock solid gameplay and engaging characters.
It could be one to watch, then, if you're a fan of strategic titles. "Take on the role of a charming mercenary captain, Eden, and lead his band of allies through epic encounters on a classic turn-based battlefield," reads the official press release.

Art style looks...admittedly, very generic. Not many dynamic looking animations, and there looks to be no facial rigging on the character models at all which is slightly off-putting, but the fidelity of the graphics looks nice, and there are some very interesting ideas being shown. Looks like cross a between XCOM and Fire Emblem.
I think I might just pick it up on Steam to be honest, after watching some more gameplay...if I'm not stuck into Baldur's Gate 3.
Zero waifu potential in that trailer. Pass for me
Looks like an Unreal Engine 4 assets demo. Day 1 purchase after I finish LOTR: Gollum
I'm actually looking forward to it we need more fire emblem clones without the waifu part
If it turns out to be good, I'm all for buying this at some point. I enjoy the genre, even if I don't play that many games in said genre. Actually good Fire Emblem clones aren't exactly made in abundance either.
Reminds me of that Redemption Reapers game that got panned on release. Although that one actually looked more interesting.
These Fire Emblem-likes going for realistic art-styles look so generic.
@Powerplay94 Eh, nah. The designs in Engage, however you may feel about them, look pretty distinct from other games I've played (especially Alear: his/her design is so LOUD), and Three Houses is filled with great designs and a sharp aesthetic overall.
