The Crackpet Show is a roguelite shoot-'em-up we'd honestly never heard of before today, but it looks to share a lot in common with Happy Tree Friends. That web series from yesteryear about cutesy animals meeting their maker in deeply upsetting ways is crossing paths with this indie game for its console debut, and it really does look like a perfect match.
On 27th September, The Crackpet Show: Happy Tree Friends Edition will arrive on PS5 and PS4. The game itself has you playing as a cuddly little animal, competing in the titular TV show for fame and fortune. The gameplay looks chaotic, colourful, and violent, which you can easily say for Happy Tree Friends too. The collaboration brings multiple characters from the web series into the game, with unique death animations, effects and music from the show, and more Easter eggs for fans.
While it's a great tonal and aesthetic fit, we'll have to wait and see if the game is any good. What do you think of The Crackpet Show: Happy Tree Friends Edition? Let us know in the comments section below.

Oh early 20s edginess... no thanks
Wow, Happy Tree Friends is still around?
YES!!! I love early 2000s edginess!!!!
this looks fun and seems to fit the Happy Tree Friends name well, although I am a little biased as I did enjoy the series.
Happy Tree Friends. That wasn't on the list of things I was expecting to read about today 😂🤣 god that takes me back....
@tameshiyaku oh 2020's indifference... No thanks
Man that’s a throwback. Never really liked the whole early 00s edgy cartoon stuff but I remember it being big.
I remember watching some Happy Tree Friends when I was younger........I probably wouldn't be sold on the title through nostalgia alone.
But I love my twin stick rogue lite shooters.
At the right price £20 or less Id be interested.
But Id honestly would only bite when it drops to £10.
I picked up Voidigo, Dooms Day hunter and Dead Estate over the past 6 months for £15 or less each ( I thiking Dead estate was less than £10)
God damn, can't believe I watched so many of these vids as a child.
Maybe I’m too old… but I’m a little embarrassed to say that I’ve actually never heard of the Happy Tree Friends ☺️
I actually own two of the dvds they released, and am quite looking forward to this. Minor eye rolls for the folks who are dismissing this as EdGiNeSs, but I guess it takes all kinds to make this world spin ‘round!
So funny when i need to go to YouTube because it got adult content in it and with this no issue. 😂
I'm more surprised HTF is still a thing apparently.😅 That takes me back.
