It's been confirmed The Last of Us voice actors Troy Baker (Joel) and Ashley Johnson (Ellie) have reprised their roles to provide dialogue for a Halloween attraction at Universal Studios in California and Florida next month. The event allows attendees to work their way through a scare maze based on the Pittsburgh location from the first game, with landmarks like The Hotel Grand and other memorable locations recreated in physical form.
To add to the realness, Baker and Johnson recorded dialogue specific to the haunted house. Speaking to SFX Magazine, show director Lora Sauls stated: "We got to use the voiceover actors from the video game. We did voiceover recordings with them and they re-recorded our entire dialogue for our haunted house. So we were very, very excited to work with both Troy and Ashley on the re-recording of our haunted house dialogue."
The attraction is designed to put you in "a world of carnage and mayhem as [you] follow in the footsteps of the game's protagonists, Joel and Ellie, who endure a brutal journey in a world overtaken by a fungal virus that turns humans into various forms of a new threat known as the Infected". You'll be able to experience it at Universal Studios Orlando from 1st September to 31st October and Universal Studios Hollywood from 7th September through to Halloween night.
Of course, this attraction as part of Halloween Horror Nights isn't the only work Sony has done with theme parks, as the Uncharted ride The Enigma of Penitence is open now at PortAventura World in Spain. Will you make the trip to Universal Studios to experience The Last of Us in real life? Let us know in the comments below.

I don't know why, but when I read the headline, I initially thought that the attraction was something geared towards kids like a carousel or something.
Now I'm imagining Joel and Ellie being overdramatic on a children's ride.
I'm actually in Orlando in October but I'm not going to Universal as my kids are too young. Why did it have to be the Last of Us this Year!!
@HotGoomba
I’ve visited Universal’s Halloween event and it’s definitely not for kids!
Really hoping I can check this out when I’m in Orlando this fall! Sounds like a blast
