If you need a fourth member for your weekly Trine team, maybe don’t rely on the pizza delivery guy. That’s the unlikely alliance depicted in this awkward Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy trailer from the THQ Nordic livestream earlier this week. The video is designed to underline the game’s capacity as a couch co-op release, underlining some of the systems and mechanics you’ll find when playing alongside friends.
“Grab your controller and team up with up to three friends, online or offline, and push back the fearsome Clockwork army,” reads the official blurb. “The upgraded puzzle system keeps things fresh, adapting the challenge to the number of players as you traverse the breathtaking 2.5D landscapes in Trine’s latest chapter.”
The game’s due out imminently, on 31st August, across both PS5 and PS4.

Looks like a nice idea. But just by looking at this article (with only a couple of likes besides mine) which has no comments made (besides this one), and YouTube's video with less than 9k views, there are not a lot of people on board with this.
Then again, I am only a bot in human form so what do I know. 🙃
Trine 5, I love this series! Had no idea this was even a thing and it’s coming 31 August 🤯 Yes Please!
BUT, what an absolutely cringe inducing trailer.
That advert is painful. The trine games would be so much more popular if they could design some interesting characters instead of the super generic ones they use.
Are those people supposed to be friends or do they just forcing randos to play games with them?
This looks like an ad for a Nintendo game. They could have just showed gameplay instead.
@GeneticMutation Same. Can't believe I had no idea about this till now, and don't have to wait that long either!
And agreed again, very cringe trailer.
I only played the first two games, need some time so I can try the other two.
Also, quite the cringe ad trailer (though I seen worse). Like NotTelevision said, are these people friends or just strangers to each other?
