Well, now we know what that trademark was all about! Announced during Sony's latest State of Play showcase, Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn is a full-on story-based expansion for Tales of Arise, the 2021 action RPG that we were really rather fond of. Beyond the dawn releases later this year, on the 9th November.
The DLC announcement comes as something of a surprise, because Bandai Namco had previously stated that Tales of Arise probably wouldn't be getting any significant DLC or a sequel. Yet here we are with the return of Alphen and the whole gang, as they appear to stumble across a mysterious girl. How very anime.
The expansion takes place more than one year after the events of the main game, just in case you were wondering. It'll be interesting to see how the world has changed following Alphen's adventure.

Keep meaning to start ToA but haven't gotten around to it yet, might as well wait a couple of more months now. 🤷♂️
Really please they decided to make a DLC, I am sure it will do well as it has been highly requested.
Didn't expect this but really glad it's happening. Gives me a reason to revisit the game!
N.i.c.e. tales of arise is a incredible game.im glad they have a story dlc.tales of arise beyond the dawn looks excellent.word up son
Really pleased by this. I really enjoyed this game earlier in the year so im relishing the thought of getting more!
Ah damn, I bought the game on xbox and I'm looking to sell the xbox. If I don't manage to sell the xbox, then I'll get the expansion.
Honestly WOW what a surprise announcement! This was my game of the year in 2021. Fantastic it's getting an expansion/sequel/dlc at all!
Heard that a dlc / sequel was on the horizon. It looks interesting but I still haven't finished the original as i felt the back end kinda lost its pacing and was drawn out to the point of bring a bit meh. Dont get me wrong the story was mostly good but never really connected with the characters. Seemed a bit stiff (Kisara and Dohalim).
I bought the game during a recent sale, but I just started Witcher 3 for the first time, and I'm hooked. Really looking forward to getting to it though, sure I'll scoop this expansion
I'm OK with this over a full sequel to the game definitely a shorter dev time
I really didn't expect DLC for this games, especially 2 years after release
Looking forward to it, ToA was one of my favorite games of 2021
