The team behind super-popular games Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail are working on a third game that's sure to go nuclear as well — Zenless Zone Zero. This action RPG has previously only been confirmed for PC and mobile platforms, but with the above broadcast from Tokyo Game Show, it's now also been announced for consoles.
Presumably, PS5 will be among the supported platforms, considering Genshin Impact is on Sony's machines, and Honkai: Star Rail will be very shortly. We'll obviously have to wait a bit longer to find out for certain where Zenless Zone Zero is heading, but we'd say PlayStation is a safe bet.
If you don't know what this game is, it's a free-to-play, urban-styled action RPG, featuring multiple playable characters and an explorable city. The majority of the game is about real-time melee battles with enemies big and small, and in between missions you'll be able to play minigames, eat food that buffs your stats, and more. It looks really slick so far, always impressing when more gameplay is shown off.

Definitely interested because of the urban punk aesthetic and the ARPG gameplay, but I wasn't sold on Genshin as much as Tower of Fantasy, and then there's still Project Mugen and Blue Protocol to consider as well! Plus, Gacha games 'n' all that... I've had a blast on ToF and dropped some dollars on it, but it is kind of a cheap thrill at the end of the day and if you really want to invest in upgrading your characters to A6, it's not so cheap lmao. Depends on whether or not you choose to go whaling 😅😅
I really like the design of this. Gonna have some stuff competition with mugen and blue protocol.
It seems that the market gets flooded with these types of games which are presumably taking over Your live. Hard to believe that putting out three of such games does not cannibalize the company's own market.
Got my eyes on this game. Will see how it reviews before I might jump in.
Looking forward to this. I have a 1 gacha only policy. Started on Honkai 3rd impact "which this article forgot to mention", then Genshin and now enjoying Star rail. This seems more my preference my only qualm is the enemies bars are too in your face. Hopefully they reduce or blur them or give options in the launch build.
Would be nice if these games came out on all platforms at the same time. The random waiting game of when will 'game x' drop on consoles leads me to forget about them most of the time.
