The superb manga and anime series Spy x Family, which sees undercover agent Loid Forger tasked with forming a faux family for his most difficult peace-keeping mission yet, is finally getting its first PS5 and PS4 game – and despite Bandai Namco being the publisher, it’s not an arena brawler. Developed by Groove Box Japan, Spy x Anya: Operation Memories will instead put you in control of Anya Forger, as you set out to create a photo diary with your new parents.
“Let’s collect memories by going to school on weekdays while going out to all sorts of exciting places like the beach or an art museum on days off, in search of subjects to photograph,” the press release reads. “Take memorable pictures to complete her diary by living out the daily life as Anya in the world of Spy x Family.”
In addition to the photography aspect, there’ll be 15 minigames in total, based on familiar and famous scenes from the source material. You’ll also be able to customise the Forgers with new unlockable outfits. The title’s due out next year on Sony’s systems, with no specific window revealed just yet. As big Spy x Family fans, though, we can’t wait.

Hype!
I really enjoyed the anime but I don't know if this is for me yet, it sounds like it's just walk around as anya and do minigames with no real end objective or story which sounds like it could get boring fast. I will be keeping a close eye on for more information though.
The anime is silly and fun, but definitely not a good idea for a video game.
This is one of the games that stood out for me in the direct, it looks interesting though I'm not sure what the game would be like. Never seen the anime.
I rather have an action game with Yor killing people. Love the series but I’m not sold on the game.
@Martijn87 Basically the anime is about a family each hiding secrets, the father is a spy and the mother is an assassin whilst the daughter (who is adopted) has the power to read minds so she knows what her parents jobs are but the parents don't know each others. The main plot of the story is about the fathers next target to spy on being an elusive guy and the only way to get close to him is by sending his daughter to this prestigious school so she can either be friends with the targets son or do well at school that she graduates where the target will be there during graduation, but she's not the brightest but she gets merits hilariously by doing stuff using her powers. It's a good light fun a anime which follows each family members life and what they get up to. I take it the game is about her time at school and her just wanting to spend time with her makeshift family.
Adore the anime, gives me life when I need it sometimes. Hope this does well just for that.
Oh my god I was getting this confused with Kiss x Sis the whole time. Thank the Lord it’s not that.
@shonenjump86 They could had made a game where you play as Twilight and Thorn Princess taking on missions. I feel like this is a test if players wanted a SpyXFamily games by doing someing safe first but at least it is a single player only game. They could add DLC where you can play as other characters down the line
Not sure about gameplay but happy Spy X Family is getting a console game in the west.
As much as I love a Anya-focused Spy x Family game (and I hope its good), it would have been more cooler if we have gotten a action-adventure game with stealth elements.
But hey, I honestly take this over yet another anime arena brawler for the 100+ time.>_>'
@UltimateOtaku91 sounds like a fun series, going to take a look at it. Also going to see how the games turns out. Thanks for the information, I appreciate it.
Love the anime, but not getting this at all, I rather it be something else.
