Mortal Kombat 1’s full character roster has leaked approximately two weeks before release, with an errant Nintendo Switch cartridge somehow finding its way into a fan’s hands. While we won’t disclose the complete list of characters here – Warner Bros is already copyright striking any mirrors that are popping up around social media – you can find a list of officially confirmed Mortal Kombat 1 fighters so far through the link, which we’ll be updating through until launch.
The leak also includes the full selection of Kameo fighters, which are basically support characters you can pick alongside your main combatant. Obviously, the game will continue to expand post-release, and developer NetherRealm has already announced a slew of planned post-release arrivals, including Peacemaker and Homelander. We’ll bring you much more on Mortal Kombat 1 in the weeks leading up to launch – and beyond.

This game is looking a lot more colourful than MK9, 10, and 11 and the sound design is really reminding me of the old games. Stoked for this
@Keyblade-Dan There was an image this time. There’s still one greyed out character, unless it’s a placeholder spot for where DLC will go. There is a story mode unlock similar to how Frost was in the last game as well.
All this semi uknown guest character non sense plus having those characters instead of original Mortal Kombat ones in addition to the bizzare choices in the art direction of some characters have sort of killed my excitement for the game. In any case I will get a copy if I find it cheap or if they release the komplete edition.
@Hundred_Hand_Slap MK is supposed to be dark but the story is rebooted into a new era so i guess im wrong now
Bought and played MK9...11 at heavy discounts, mainly for the story part. I've been a fan of the franchise since playing MK1 and Mk2 back when Intel 586-based PC's were in their prime... but since I'm not interested in PVP, a 70$ price to play only the ~6h long story, is not a worthy investment.
As for the new game... i'll wait ~2 years for an eventual Komplete edition of sorts to get a big discount, and get it.
Until then, watching the story mode once or twice on youtube is quite sufficient.
@belmont I still find it hilarious you think Homelander and Omni Man are niche unknown characters just because YOU don't know them, i mean come on COD recently made a killing with its crossover with The Boys and a Invincible live action movie is on cards now due to the success of the show. I bet Homelander, Omni Man and maybe even Peacemaker sell more then all the MK characters do in the pack because as always guest characters sell the most and are insanely popular hence why they do them.
I get you don't want them and don't know them and that's fair but remember that's just you and not everyone else.
@nomither6 Not really its all always been pretty camp and in the spirit of old martial arts films (well except the mediocre 2000's era 3D entries). The 90's film may have lacked the violence but tone wise it nailed MK.
@DennisReynolds I get what you say that those characters will sell and it is cool for anyone that likes the characters to enjoy playing as but I was obviously speaking for myself that I prefer MK characters. MK does not have an official forum but I would like to know what the core fanbase thinks of this.
And having never played a COD except the Vita game I am not familiar with its fanbase.
Still though those characters are on shows in streaming services that are not available in my region.
After the initial announcement I tried to see Peacemaker and it was bad. Then I saw that it was from a director that I really hate his superhero movies that now is the head of DC for some reason.

I also prefer MK characters. There are are so many more MK characters they can include, but instead we get guests. That's their prerogative, though.
@belmont Problem with forms and Reddit is they're just echochambers and don't really speak for the vast majority. The fact Guests sell the most in MK/Injustice suggests the majority like them though otherwise they wouldn't buy them.

@Keyblade-Dan Jennifer’s Body is a classic. Just because she’s known for acting in crap movies in the 00s doesn’t mean she’s a bad actress. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson proved that one false years ago.
@Keyblade-Dan she also is a big fan and a good player, the devs likely is glad to have her lending her voice for this.
Yeah, it had leaked quite some time ago and was confirmed with later reveals.
@nessisonett Can't remember the films name but she done a film a year or two ago where she woke up to her partner dead and she's hand cuffed to him with no key, it was a pretty decent thriller and she actually killed it in the role. She's not an awful actress i just feel she gets stuck with awful films where she's just eye candy.
@BrintaPap Yeah Megan is actually a pretty big gamer, she's expressed love for the series before so this must have a dream part for her.

@belmont we should all be glad James Gunn is the head of the DCEU because it means no more god awful Snyderverse.
@General_Disarray For me personally the Snyder movies are the best comic book movies. I think Batman V Superman and the Snyder cut of Justice League are very good, some goes for Watchmen.
As for Gunn's movies I can't stand them. I mean in all his movies the characters act goofier and goofier, always joking around. They may be more goofy that the G1 Transformers. This is certainly not what I want from DC. This The Suicide Squad movie is very bad. Gunn is perfect for Scooby Doo but not for DC.
@belmont The Suicide Squad is the best DC movie yet. It was coherent, had heart, was violent fun and the cast rocked it.
Zack Snyder can't tell a story to save his life and his writing is worse than his visuals.
James Gunn = Best DCEU.

I don't like Gunn's movies and I don't want him to change Batman or Superman to some bizarre caricature that jokes all the time or is goofing around.
@belmont I don't like Zack Snyder's works and he'd do the movie world a big solid if he never set foot on a production set again.
Can't wait to see what he does with Bats and Supes 😁
