The more we see of Persona 3 Reload, the more impressed and intrigued we are. Now, we know that the remake won't borrow key features from Persona 3 FES and Persona 3 Portable — and that's a bit disappointing — but what is here looks fantastic. If you're like us and you've got fond memories of the original Persona 3, then this latest trailer will give your nostalgia a rattle.
The new footage shows some welcome combat adjustments — like the borrowing of the baton pass mechanic from Persona 5 — and confirms that some story scenes seem to have been expanded upon. That latter point is particularly interesting, because there's definitely room in Persona 3's narrative for additional character moments.

I mean that's how I expected the ones released early this year to look - with a P5 coat of paint - in the first place. Atlus just wants to play with people's pockets as usual.
I am so excited for this game.
In an era of remakes this one feels like the most required one of the bunch. I really can't wait to play it. It looks and sounds incredible as usual from Atlus.
Hahaha, Micro$oft still splurging out to pretend the game is an Xbox exclusive I see
Sega is mad releasing this and Yakuza right next to each other (although i will be getting both). With FF7 Rebirth, my 2024 will be very JRPG heavy.
Yakuza Jan 26
Granblue Fantasy Relink Feb 1
Persona 3 Feb 2
FF7 Rebirth February 29
So many big hitters in first 2 months
From what I've learnt from persona 5, I'll wait 3 versions before getting it.
Probably a P3 FES Portable Royal combo, but with no upgrade to PS6.
I’m currently playing through Persona 5 on Switch and having a really good time. It’s my first Persona game. Needless to say, I’m very excited for this to hit PS5.
Haven't watched the full trailer yet since I want to go blindly on this game (want to experience it as if it was my first time playing P3 like I did back in the PS2 era). Not sure if I'm getting this day one since my priority is still FF7 Rebirth but I'll definitely get this given the time and budget
Two gorgeous remakes of classic JRPGs both coming out in February.
Normally I wouldn't say this, since I am looking forward to FF7 Rebirth quite a bit, but I'm glad I don't have a PS5 so I don't need to make this choice.
@Foxhound Is a combination of that plus the relationship between Sega and PlayStation souring. Is not going to be like it used to, I expect Persona 6 to be unveiled at a Xbox event
I'm disappointed they did the ports without mentioning this as I started P3 already, but I do kind of want to finish it and then play this version as well.
I think I'll wait for them to put out the version including Portable and FES content so that there's actually a definitive version finally. Hope P4G gets the remake treatment next though.
I kinda Wish they would have remade Persona 2.
"Starting"... huh? I was sold as soon as it was announced and i knew the combat was fixed.
Gotta say though... i had watched the english trailer on youtube and the japanese VA is so much better. I will be torn over which to use.
Gonna vote with my wallet and skip buying this. I don't tolerate half-assed remakes with cut content.
I’ll wait for the “royal” edition we all know is coming in a few years
@Rob_230 and to think it's only the first two months.
@Tecinthebrain What happened to sour it?
@MrSensical If you still think it doesn't have FES or portable content, you didn't play Persona 3 FES nor Perseona 3 Portable nor the orginal Persona 3 game, lol.
@GloriosaDaisy There is nothing half assed about this remake, but go on,it's your money.
I'll wait for the full version that'll inevitably come out at some point, it's looking great but it is still missing the FeMC.
