Revealed just last week during Sony's State of Play presentation, Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways is heading our way very soon indeed. This DLC add-on for the excellent remake recounts Ada Wong's perspective on the story, and the agent brings some new gameplay dynamics to the survival horror title.
Most notably, she comes equipped with her grapple gun, which she can use to traverse the environment, but there's more to it than that. As seen in the above new launch trailer, she can utilise the grapple gun to rip away shields from enemies and initiate takedowns on ganados from a distance.
It seems her mission for Albert Wesker will deviate a little from the original Separate Ways, but ultimately it just looks like more great Resi fun, including what looks to be some cool boss fights. It's just days away now, arriving on 21st September, 2023 for $9.99.

Anyone know if we’ll get a remake of her old outfit? (Not that it’ll matter to me as I’ll be playing in VR, but I don’t see why they had to change it to something more generic).
Phew Ada has moves!
Can't wait to dive back into RE4R.
I can't wait to jump back into this masterpiece!
Great price, re4r is a real goty contender this year.
Nothing justifies the shamefull hatred she got online.
But holy ***** the voice acting is so bad. She sounds so bored.
@LordOfTurnips I was thinking the same thing. I dont like the hate for sure, but there is no denying that her voice acting for this does not work. That trailer felt like a bad sci fi channel tv show promo. I'm surprised they used so much voice over because it actually just made the whole thing cringe.
Enjoyed the first game, but really have no interest in jumping back in.
Is that the laser chamber from the Resident Evil movie? Wth!
@LordOfTurnips you mean exactly the way she sounds in REmake 2 and the original????
@ILikeStake it was in the original re4, but it was on Leon section.
@LordBakemono what are you talking about? In RE2 remake there is passion and fire in the voice acting, in RE4 remake this new voice actor sounds like a walmart npc with food in her mouth.
@Americansamurai1 Oh alright... been too long since I played it (Gamecube).
And here I thought they were going to add the little girl saying "You're all going to die down here"
Looks awesome. Can't wait
@ILikeStake lol I could only imagine the community reaction if they added her.
It looks so good but Ada's va still does not sound good...
@LordOfTurnips This is what you get when you focus on having "authentic" casting instead of good voice acting
Will get (for my Steam Deck).
Combat looks really cool with the grappling hook.
@Nepp67 Or, this is what you get when you cast a poor actor (reportedly; I haven’t played it) in this particular instance. “Authenticity” and “good acting” aren’t mutually exclusive.
I really didn’t hear anything wrong with the vocal performance to be honest (maybe that last line was a little off). It’s difficult when removed from physical acting, when you’re in a booth without an actor to play your lines off. Plus the dialogue given isn’t great if we’re honest. I wouldn’t say her performance even stood out as the worst in that video.
What about assignment Ada???
@Chibbie Read my comment again, I said this is what happens when you "focus" on authentic casting instead of good voice acting.
I'm definitely looking forward to this. It's just a matter of when I'll actually play through her DLC.
The VA voice is still too flat, I hope capcom go back to the game original ada VA for the next RE (if ada show up there).
@LordBakemono
No.
In the original games, and RE2 Ada seems annoyed and is clearly manipulating Leon, hence why her personality is more low key and assertive.
In rem4ke, the VA sounds bored as *****, like she's barely putting effort into her lines.
The game itself, looks absolutely great. Cant wait to jump back into this.
I wonder if the voice actor will have to deal with racist neckbeard again. All while feebly trying to convince everyone their reasons are ok.
@LordOfTurnips sounds the same to me bro, who cares really
@LordBakemono
Idk dude, i'm talking about it because I care.
Like i said, the actress doesnt deserve any hate for it. Her acting is crap tho, and in a story drjven game, saying "who cares" about voice acting is kinda missing the point no?
You're free to disagree and more power to you if you like it. Thats just like, my opinion man.
